Position OverviewAs a Senior MPU & Embedded AI Field Application Engineer, covering the Eastern U.S., you'll be one of the key contributor in the Customer Application Support team supporting designs in Healthcare and Industrial application spaces. You drive demand creation and design-in activity at customer sites in close cooperation with the NXP business lines; you provide technical skills & support to NXP's sales staff by driving resolution of technical issues and identifying future roadmap needs of your customer(s). We rely on you to deliver the NXP value message in a persuasive and accurate manner to increase our market share.
Healthcare, Industrial FocusYou will serve as a key contributor within our Healthcare and Industrial vertical market sales teams, providing technical design in support to leading companies at the forefront of AI-driven patient care transformation and intelligent automation.
Key Responsibilities for the role:- Deliver premium technical support in content and time to assigned customers
- 100% Accountable to drive design wins and revenue generation in their target accounts and target technology
- Leads proof of concept, solution design and demonstrations to secure NXP solution's design-in
- Synthesizes customer and competitive insights to improve product definition, system solutions enablement, and roadmaps
- Establishes the value proposition of NXP's system solutions relative to competition
- Collaborates with sales team members, business lines, and partners in support of customer and sales team objectives
- Assists in training the customer, sales and distribution partners on new technologies, new product features and their value propositions.
- Develops system level knowledge of target application spaces

Essential Requirements- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and minimum 6+ years development engineering or applications support of SoC based embedded systems
- Field Application Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of typical SoC hardware interfaces (Ethernet, MIPI, UART, LPDDR4 or LPDDR5, PCIe ) and ARM Cortex A, Cortex M, heterogeneous architecture and register programming models.
- Familiarity with Embedded Edge AI Model architecture, Workflow Tools and Model deployment is a plus
- Hands on experience in embedded Linux is essential: kernel and user-space and uboot environments
- Strong embedded software skillset for implementation of system processor solutions
- Hands on knowledge of camera enabled graphics/video pipelines and related software drivers helpful
- Ability to read, understand and review schematics and provide design recommendations essential
- Experience with custom board bring-up debug activities recommended
- Willing to travel for customer meetings, trainings
- Experienced in providing technical training to sales staff and distribution
- Proven track record of quickly learning new technologies
