We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Modeling and Simulation Analyst to contribute to the design, development, and execution of complex simulation environments. This role focuses on high-fidelity modeling of integrated defense systems, including Radars, Command and Control (C2) architectures, Unmanned Aerial Systems (Drones), and Missile Systems. The ideal candidate is technically strong, equally comfortable writing low-level bash scripts in a Linux environment, architecting large-scale simulations using containerization, and briefing technical results to senior government stakeholders. You will serve as a technical bridge between complex system requirements and actionable simulation data.Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & Design: - System Architecture: Contribute to the end-to-end design of M&S frameworks for integrated sensor-to-shooter kill chains.
- Model Development:Develop and validate high-fidelity behavioral models for radar waveforms, C2 logic, and kinetic interceptors.
- DevOps Integration: Architect and maintain simulation environments utilizing RHEL Linux, deploying scalable simulation nodes via Podman containers.
- Automation: Create robust automation pipelines using Bash scripting to streamline simulation runs, environment setup, and data collection.
Data Analysis & Reporting:- Analytics Pipeline: Develop sophisticated data reduction and analysis tools using Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) and MATLAB.
- Visualization: Create high-impact technical plots and visualizations to communicate system performance.
- Technical Documentation: Author comprehensive technical reports, design documents, and verification/validation (V&V) reports for delivery to the customer.
Stakeholder Management:- Requirements Engineering: Lead technical discussions with government customers to translate operational needs into concrete simulation requirements.
- Briefing & Presentation: Present complex simulation results to stakeholders and senior leadership, providing clear recommendations based on data.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and peer review for Level 1-3 engineers on the team.
Required Qualifications: - US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) within the defense or aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and Bash scripting.
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for mathematical modeling and data science.
- Deep understanding of the physics and logic governing Radars, C2 systems, and Missile/Drone kinematics.
- Active security clearance (Secret or higher).
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience using Podman (or Docker) for application deployment and environment isolation.
- Experience with industry-standard simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Previous experience acting as the Primary Technical Point of Contact (POC) for a government program office.
- Familiarity with DIS/HLA standards for distributed simulations.
