Full Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Microsoft Azure Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-scale cloud solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

You'll be at the forefront of digital transformation-empowering mission-critical systems to scale securely across hybrid and fully cloud-native architectures. Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement secure, scalable solutions across Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings to support enterprise and mission systems.
  • Develop cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
  • Partner with DevOps, security, and networking teams to drive compliance, governance, and automation standards.
  • Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization across a range of Azure services including VMs, AKS, App Services, and Azure Functions.
  • Manage hybrid environments using tools like Azure Arc, Azure Stack, and ExpressRoute.
  • Administer Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Conditional Access to enforce secure identity and access management practices.
  • Monitor and control cloud spending through FinOps best practices and cost management dashboards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture reviews, roadmapping, and strategic engineering decisions.

  • Automation & Scripting: Proficient in scripting with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve reliability.
  • Cloud Optimization: Ability to fine-tune infrastructure performance while managing costs and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Mission Focus: Experience supporting government workloads or sensitive environments.

Nice to Haves:
  • Azure Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar.
  • Experience in hybrid/multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure integrated with AWS or on-premises systems).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or classified systems in a federal or national security setting.

Salary Range: $140K - $180K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
