What You Will Do:The
Senior Metallurgical Engineer objective is conduct testing and material investigations within the Columbus Forge manufacturing facility.
- Review engineering documentation to ensure it contains the necessary quality assurance and customer provisions and criteria.
- Serve as an issue resolution focal point that works with engineering, customer service support, and operations to drive continuous improvement in products and processes.
- Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
- Various quality issues related to internal non-Conformances, product returns, supplier issues, customer complaints and corrective action requests with clear and concise reports to customers.
- Participate on cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership, with coaching and assistance by the Material Control Laboratory Manager.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials science or metallurgical environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials science or metallurgical environment
- Experience working with internal and external customer requirements to resolve findings
- Understand and interpret engineering technical data to provide guidance to cross functional teams
- Knowledge of document control and calibration systems; query data from database systems
- Experience interpreting manufacturing drawings
Qualifications We Prefer:- Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgy or Engineering
- Metallurgical or Material Control Laboratory experience
- Broad quality experience

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
