Job Description:

  • Supports the administration of the radiation safety program, including compliance with regulatory agencies, staff training, and supervision of radioactive source handling and disposal.
  • Performs dosimetric calculations for external beam, brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceutical therapy, ensuring accurate treatment planning and delivery.
  • Supervises medical physicist assistants or medical physics residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
  • Conducts weekly chart reviews and other checks of treatment plans to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Provides medical physics consultation to physicians, staff, and patients, addressing radiation safety for patients and their families.

  • Effective communication skills [Required]
