Our team in Canada is growing; we are currently recruiting for a
Senior Mechanical Layout Designer with experience in the mining industry to join the team.
About the role - Prepare mechanical layouts: study level and execution level drawings in line with project requirements
- Development of mechanical layouts in a 3D environment.
- Produce layout relevant deliverables such as site layouts, general arrangements and detailed drawings.
- Deliver design drawings according to project-specific design criteria as well as the defined regulations, codes, and standards.
- Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards.
- Support proposal managers in providing input into the proposal and estimates.
- Facilitate and ensure interdisciplinary co-ordination when developing layouts or models.
- Comply with all Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.
Qualifications - Advanced diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering technology
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical design drafting;
- Experience in Mechanical design and layout of Mineral Processing Plants within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment.
- Knowledge of mineral processing circuits
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2d drafting
- Prepare and design plant models
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.

Salary range: $75,000 to $100,000 annually
Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
