Senior Mechanical Engineer / Future Engineering Leader Role Overview An established MEP consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the delivery of complex building services projects while playing a key role in the future growth of the business. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through construction. Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor across a diverse project portfolio. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers. Support project planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes. Contribute to business development efforts and help identify opportunities for continued growth. Assist in developing operational processes and engineering best practices. Play an active role in the long-term leadership and succession planning of the business. The Successful Candidate Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Professional Engineering (PE) licence preferred or the ability to obtain one. Extensive experience within MEP consulting engineering. Strong background delivering mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, hospitality, or institutional projects. Proven experience leading projects, managing teams, and mentoring engineers. Strong client-facing skills with the ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships. Commercially minded with an interest in contributing to the strategic growth of a business. Demonstrated leadership potential and the desire to take on increasing responsibility over time.
