DescriptionJOB TITLE: Senior Consumer Marketing Manager, Merchant Partners
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid; 2-3 days in office)
REPORTS TO: Director of Consumer Marketing, Merchant Partners
The Role:We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized, and data-driven Sr. Marketing Manager to build and run marketing programs across Sunbit's core verticals such as Car Dealerships and Dental. In this builder role, you will drive the merchant lifecycle - acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and ongoing usage - turning strategy into campaigns and initiatives that move the numbers.
This is a B2B2C role: we sell to businesses, but success depends on motivating their frontline associates - people who don't work for Sunbit - to offer it to customers every day. If you've marketed through a channel you don't control, this will feel familiar.
You will work closely with Sales, Account Management, Product, Strategy, Marketing, Legal, Data, and Growth teams, and you'll be comfortable aligning and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business. You'll build lifecycle programs that motivate point-of-sale associates to offer Sunbit to their customers, support go-to-market for new products and features, and own the execution details that determine whether a campaign lands.
What You'll Own:- Build and execute marketing programs across core verticals supporting merchant acquisition, activation, onboarding, and ongoing lifecycle performance
- Partner with other marketing teams to run prospect campaigns and hit lead targets across target industries
- Improve the merchant onboarding journey to reduce friction, accelerate time-to-first-transaction, increase active associates, and drive early usage
- Launch and scale associate lifecycle programs - education, gamified incentives, and marketing toolkits, partnering closely with our lifecycle team on scoping and being able to dig in directly to email platforms to QA, run smaller initiatives, and identify enhancements
- Own campaign calendars, creative briefs, and vendor and agency relationships, keeping multiple programs moving at once without dropping details
- Partner with product and strategy teams to bring new products, features, and merchant programs to market with clear, compelling messaging and go-to-market strategies
- Collaborate with account management teams to design ongoing usage initiatives, re-engage dormant accounts, and drive growth
- Use data and funnel analytics to track lifecycle performance, measure campaign ROI, and continuously optimize business outcomes
- Partner cross-functionally to keep growth initiatives aligned and on schedule
RequirementsWhat You'll Bring:- 6+ years of experience in B2B product marketing or partner marketing with meaningful lifecycle experience
- Track record of building and shipping campaigns end to end, not just directing them
- Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate initiatives across many stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in an enterprise email/lifecycle platform (ie: Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo). You won't always be building journeys from scratch, but should be familiar with how to work with them and effectively scope work for the team
- Excellent stakeholder management, including comfort working with senior-level partners
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strategic and analytical - able to synthesize data to identify opportunities
- Growth mindset and proactive ownership of projects
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
The Perks:- Join one of LA's fastest growing startups (2023), A Most Loved Workplace, #576 on the 2023 Inc 5000 list, and Forbes Fintech 50 (2024)
- Mission driven + empowered + collaborative
- Competitive pay and stock options
- Unlimited PTO
- Health Insurance options including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, EAP, FSA, & Parental Leave
- Newly added HSA and Pet Insurance
- 401K Plan with Matching
- Cell Phone Stipend
- Team based strategic planning + Team owned deliverables
How We Pay:- We believe in paying fairly and equitably based on a number of factors including but not limited to previous experience, relevant work history, interview performance, geographical location, internal equity, and expected level of ownership.
- We are targeting a base salary of $150,000 - $185,000 per year for this role
- This role will also be granted company equity via stock options
