YOUR MISSION

The Senior Manager Marketing, Run / Train leads North America category marketing for Running and Training within the Sport Category team. Reporting to the Teamhead Marketing, Sport Category, this role translates global and regional category direction, consumer insights, and business priorities into integrated seasonal plans that build performance credibility, strengthen consumer relevance, and drive commercial impact.

This role owns day-to-day Run / Train category planning and execution across product storytelling, key launches, consumer experiences, specialty and wholesale needs, DTC priorities, communications, and media. The Senior Manager serves as the category expert and cross-functional integrator, ensuring plans are insight-led, clearly prioritized, and delivered consistently across consumer touchpoints.
  • Lead annual and seasonal marketing planning for Running and Training, aligned with category strategy, consumer priorities, product launches, and commercial objectives.
  • Translate global direction into relevant North America plans, briefs, launch strategies, activation priorities, channel guidance, and success measures.
  • Develop audience, insight, positioning, messaging, and product storytelling frameworks that build performance credibility and consumer demand.
  • Own integrated go-to-market execution for priority Run / Train franchises, campaigns, athletes, events, and seasonal brand moments.
  • Partner with Communications & Influence, Creative, Media, Social, DTC, Visual Experience, Sports Marketing, Wholesale, and Consumer Journey teams to deliver connected plans across earned, owned, paid, retail, experiential, partner, and community touchpoints.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Marketing, Run Specialty & Tech Reps to connect specialty distribution, technical product education, field activation, performance credibility, and consumer demand generation.
  • Collaborate with Wholesale and Account Marketing teams to translate Run / Train priorities into strategic account plans, retail programs, specialty initiatives, sell-in tools, consumer events, and seasonal activations.
  • Serve as the internal Run / Train category expert, monitoring consumer behavior, athlete and fitness culture, marketplace dynamics, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform recommendations.
  • Lead agencies and cross-functional workstreams, managing scope, timelines, deliverables, risks, and decision points while keeping the Teamhead informed.
  • Manage assigned budgets, KPI tracking, campaign recaps, and post-season learning, using performance insights to optimize future plans and investment.


YOUR TALENT
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in category marketing, brand marketing, product marketing, integrated marketing, or a related consumer marketing role.
  • Strong knowledge of Running and Training consumers, performance footwear and apparel, athlete and fitness culture, product storytelling, and marketplace dynamics.
  • Proven success developing and executing integrated seasonal marketing plans across digital, social, retail, experiential, communications, and commercial channels.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives, agencies, budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across marketing, product, merchandising, sales, retail, sports marketing, and global or regional teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, project leadership, communication, presentation, and executive-ready storytelling skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate consumer, category, marketplace, and campaign performance data into clear actions and recommendations.
  • Clear, insight-led seasonal Run / Train plans aligned to category and business priorities.
  • Increased consumer relevance, performance credibility, and engagement across Running and Training.
  • Successful delivery of priority product launches, campaigns, events, and marketplace moments.
  • Strong integration across marketing functions, specialty, DTC, wholesale, and account teams.
  • Plans and deliverables completed on time, within budget, and against defined KPIs.
  • Actionable post-campaign learning and measurable contribution to brand and commercial objectives.

The hiring range base pay for this position is $74,500 - $101,120 + Bonus + Benefits
