The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is leading the transformation of Alberta's electricity market at a pivotal moment for the industry. As we evolve the province's wholesale electricity markets to meet the growing demands of affordability, reliability, and decarbonization, we are seeking a motivated professional to join our Market Design team in a Senior Market Design Analyst role. In this role, you will apply your expertise in economics, engineering, or a related discipline to help design and implement key components of Alberta's restructured electricity market, shaping how the system adapts to the challenges of the future. You bring a strong understanding of Alberta's current market framework, an interest in the changes introduced through the Restructured Energy Market (REM), and a curiosity to explore innovative solutions while engaging with diverse perspectives. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary.
