Job Summary: The Senior Managing Director will oversee the portfolio surveillance, management, modification/restructuring, enforcement, origination and asset management underwriting, value-add equity strategy implementation, and dispositions across a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential real estate assets.
They will develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize value and performance while monitoring and reporting on asset performance, including financial analysis, market trends, and risk assessments. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies, the Senior Manager also prepares and manages budgets, forecasts, and financial models for asset management activities. They conduct financial reviews to maintain proper business margins and build strong relationships and incentive alignment amongst team members, client, borrowers, partners, and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of asset managers, underwriters, analysts, and credit administration professionals in the commercial and residential real estate sector, both performing and non-performing.
- Functional verticals embedded within the client's operating service model and subject team include origination advisory, asset management advisory, credit solutions, & loan management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, high-performance, and accountability across a team of senior asset management and advisory professionals.
- Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to team members.
- Provide value-add, strategic guidance to team members with respect to commercial real estate cedit modifications, enforcement actions (i.e., deed-in-lieu, foreclosure, receiverships), value-add equity strategies, and disposition of assets in the context of a private debt fund, non-CMBS client's business model and capital structure (i.e., balance sheet, warehouse, and CRE CLO vs. CMBS product)
- Develop internal relationships and cross-functional support across the Trimont organization to optimize client experience with a solution oriented mindset to problems posed by team staff and client alike.
- Manage client expectations and overall relationships across different business lines.
- Oversee the management, restructuring, and equity asset management of a diverse portfolio of real estate assets.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize value and performance/recovery.
- Monitor and report on asset performance, including financial analysis, market trends, and risk assessments.

Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree required, focus on economics, finance, real estate, or a related degree is preferred.
- 17+ years of experience in finance and real estate
- 11+ years leading a team by setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and conducting regular performance reviews to foster collaboration, productivity, and professional growth.
