WHAT YOU'LL ARCHITECT: As a
Senior Managing Consultant - Data Engineering, you will architect the future of modern data platforms while leading complex consulting engagements, shaping engineering standards, and growing Keyrus' Data Engineering practice across North America. This role combines strategic leadership, technical architecture, delivery governance, and business development to create long-term value for clients and teams alike.
- Partner with clients to understand business objectives and translate them into scalable, modern data architectures and transformation roadmaps
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise data initiatives, designing and optimizing data pipelines, lakehouses, and cloud-native architectures using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Azure, and complementary technologies
- Define architectural standards, reusable accelerators, modernization frameworks, and engineering best practices across the Data Engineering practice
- Provide architectural governance across multiple engagements, ensuring consistency, quality, delivery excellence, risk management, and margin optimization
- Lead and scale the Data Engineering practice by strengthening capabilities, mentoring consultants, and establishing technical standards
- Contribute to technical pre-sales, solution design, and go-to-market initiatives while developing industry-specific offerings and modern data use cases
- Collaborate closely with strategic technology partners to align solution strategies, leverage platform evolution, and create differentiated client offerings
- Lead multidisciplinary consulting teams, providing technical leadership, coaching, and career development for Data Engineers and Consultants
- Drive the adoption of AI capabilities across existing data platforms, modern analytics ecosystems, and client solutions
- Continuously evaluate emerging cloud and data technologies, translating innovation into practical business outcomes

WHAT YOU BRING: Qualifications / Certifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including 5+ years in Senior Consultant, Principal Consultant, Technical Lead, or Technical Project Management leadership roles
- Proven experience leading enterprise consulting engagements and multidisciplinary delivery teams
- Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or cloud architecture certifications are considered an asset
Technical Skills- Deep hands-on expertise designing and optimizing enterprise data platforms using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and Azure Data Services
- Strong experience architecting scalable data pipelines, lakehouses, and modern cloud-native analytics platforms
- Proven ability to define and govern enterprise architecture standards across Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure ecosystems
- Strong understanding of modern analytics architectures including data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse patterns
- Experience designing modernization frameworks, reusable engineering accelerators, and technical governance models
- Ability to oversee multiple concurrent delivery teams while ensuring quality, performance, commercial success, and client satisfaction
- Experience leading technical pre-sales activities, solution design workshops, and strategic proposals
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience mentoring consultants and building high-performing engineering teams
- Experience enabling AI capabilities within enterprise data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems
Nice-to-have- Experience working with dbt and modern transformation frameworks
- Knowledge of DataOps, MLOps, and enterprise Data Governance strategies
- Experience collaborating with strategic technology alliances and partner ecosystems
- Exposure to advanced AI-driven analytics and intelligent data platforms
- Experience contributing to practice development, capability building, and go-to-market strategy

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $130,000 to $160,000 CAD, depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This salary range is provided as a guideline and may be adjusted for the selected candidate.
