Job Description Summary

At The Coca-Cola Company, we are dedicated to innovating and transforming the way we operate. As a key member of the Warehouse Transformation Team, the Senior Manager, Warehouse Equipment Platform Engineering will lead the development, engineering, and global standardization of warehouse automation equipment platforms. The role will establish reusable design principles, technical specifications, reference architectures, and performance standards for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), four-way shuttle systems, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), robotic picking, goods-to-person picking, and automated truck loading. Working with our plants, cross-functional partners, external equipment suppliers, and system integrators, this leader will support concept development and detailed design for both greenfield facilities and brownfield modernization projects while balancing enterprise standards, site constraints, safety, scalability, and business value.

We seek an engineering leader who combines deep knowledge of warehouse equipment and material-flow design with strong platform thinking, supplier leadership, and the ability to convert operational needs into safe, reliable, scalable, and maintainable automation solutions.

What You'll Do for Us

  • Own and govern the global catalog of warehouse equipment platforms, including approved technology options, reference configurations, and application criteria.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, design guidelines, reference configurations, equipment specifications, and approved component strategies for AMRs, AS/RS, four-way shuttles, AGVs, robotic picking, goods-to-person systems, and automated truck loading.
  • Define platform requirements for safety, throughput, capacity, availability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Partner with plants and project teams to translate operational demand, product flows, storage profiles, and service requirements into fit-for-purpose equipment concepts.
  • Support greenfield projects from concept development through detailed equipment design, technical acceptance, commissioning, and operational handover.
  • Support brownfield assessments and modernization strategies that account for existing infrastructure, operational continuity, phased implementation, installation constraints, and migration risk.
  • Collaborate with equipment manufacturers, system integrators, and engineering consultants through market assessment, solution development, technical evaluation, design reviews, factory and site acceptance, commissioning, and performance validation.
  • Support creation of reusable engineering tools, design templates, simulation inputs, test protocols, lessons learned, and governance processes that reduce project risk and accelerate deployment.
  • Monitor technology and supplier developments, qualify new solutions, and manage platform obsolescence and continuous improvement across the installed base.

Requirements& Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, controls, systems, automation, or a related engineering field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering, design, deployment, or operational experience with warehouse automation and material-handling equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following: AMR, AS/RS, four-way shuttle, AGV, robotic picking, goods-to-person, or automated truck-loading solutions.
  • Experience developing equipment specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, leading design reviews, and supporting commissioning and acceptance testing.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse software and controls integration, including WMS, WES, WCS, MES, PLCs, industrial networks, and equipment interfaces.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders and align teams on strategic objectives and project outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and influence internal and external partners regarding standards, design decisions, risks, and recommended practices.
