Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising
About the role:
CHANEL is seeking a Senior Visual Merchandising Manager to ensure and maintain all aspects of Visual Merchandising for Retail Fashion Boutiques and Multi-Brand Boutiques within the Los Angeles market. This would include Rodeo Drive Boutique, Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills and Saks Beverly Hills, Nordstrom Topanga and Montecito Seasonal Btq. This role will be reporting to the Group Director for Visual Merchandising, Southern CA. You will join a team of passionate, driven VM professionals upholding the CHANEL vision across all doors.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
- Lead the execution of CHANEL Visual Merchandising standards across corporate and boutique environments, ensuring consistency, excellence, and brand elevation at every touchpoint.
- Partner closely with Corporate VM, Boutique Leadership, Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewelry (where applicable), and cross-functional teams to support launches, floor moves, windows, events, and seasonal installations.
- Translate corporate direction into clear, actionable guidance for field and boutique teams, balancing brand vision with the needs of each market and location.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with internal partners to influence decisions, align priorities, and drive consistent execution across the network.
- Oversee installation, de-installation, mannequin changes, décor placement, prop styling, lighting adjustments, cleanliness, and photo documentation with strong attention to detail.
- Facilitate VM trainings, seminars, and coaching moments that strengthen boutique teams’ understanding of CHANEL standards, product storytelling, and styling expectations.
- Manage and support boutique VM partners and freelance talent, providing direction, feedback, and follow-up to ensure high-quality execution.
- Maintain strong organization, time management, and follow-through to meet deadlines for launches, documentation, reporting, travel, and other key deliverables.
- Leverage strong digital, photography, and communication skills to document work clearly and share updates with Corporate and regional partners.
- Support the broader West Coast VM community and U.S. Corporate VM priorities through regular market visits, monthly travel, and adaptable partnership across teams.
- Demonstrate accountability, sound judgment, and comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and ambiguity.

Position Logistics:
- Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at the NYC Office
- 7+ years of VM experience required
- Weekend and overnight assignments will be required
- Associate’s degree in Display & Exhibition Design or Art/Fashion related degree OR minimum of 7+ years relevant work experience in VM and Retail Display
- Must be willing and able to travel by airplane & automobile with a Valid Divers License / Passport, Reliable Car (local travel) & Car Insurance.
- Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.
- Must be able to travel 2-3 times per month within region
Compensation:
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is 87,500 through 125,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
