We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Manager to lead our Unsecured Loan Processing team within our Central Loan Approval Office. This individual will be a key driver of operational excellence, policy and process innovation, and people leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of project management expertise, independent ownership, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.
What will you be doing?
• Leading by example to develop and preserve an energetic, highly effective CLAO (Central Loan Approval Office) culture that inspires employee engagement, effective processes and subsequently surpasses even the most difficult stakeholder expectations.
• Establish standards for service levels, queue management, and performance monitoring measures as it relates to underwriting, providing subordinates with prioritization, direction, and support during periods with heightened demand.
• Oversee CLAO Unsecured Loan Processing operations, including but not limited to staffing, scheduling, and planning to ensure company expectations are met.
• Lead and deliver complex initiatives from concept to completion. Demonstrating strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills driving measurable outcomes.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve underwriting guidelines and processes.
• Generate and implement ongoing reporting to track efficiencies, staff activity and continuously improve on defined KPIs.
• Collaborate with the retail branch network, regional managers, and the indirect teams to craft solutions to meet customer and merchant needs, creating processes to capture, analyze, leverage, and share branch insights to improve overall customer experience.
• Collaborate with the Director, Underwriting regularly to enhance the Loan Underwriting Manual and other policies and procedures as they relate to the processing of loan applications.
What experience do you have?
• 5-7+ years of experience in financial services, with a focus on loan operations or credit adjudication.
• 3+ years in a leadership role managing teams and cross-functional projects.
• Call centre management experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of unsecured lending products, policies, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience with process optimization, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing reports, analyzing results and implementing change based on findings independently with minimal supervision.
We offer a Flexible Work Program that provides you the ability to work three days onsite per week, from our Mississauga office with mandatory Wednesdays on-site.

We are offering $78,733.00 - $91,824.00 CAD/year for this role, plus the opportunity to earn monthly bonuses.
