Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Compliance and Reporting - North America ("NA") to lead the company's U.S. and Canadian tax compliance, tax accounting, and reporting activities. Reporting to the NA Head of Tax, this role will oversee the preparation, review, and filing of federal, SALT, and Canadian tax returns; manage tax reporting and provision processes; and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and technology. The ideal candidate combines strong tax technical knowledge with excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee outsourced US federal, SALT, and Canadian income tax compliance and reporting.
• Review tax calculations, workpapers, and returns.
• Develop and maintain effective tax compliance and reporting processes, controls, and documentation.
• Lead and oversee all NA tax provision and tax accounting activities including current and deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, and tax account reconciliations.
• Manage tax audits, examinations, notices, and other taxing authority inquiries.
• Partner with the broader tax team on tax planning and business initiatives.
• Provide tax guidance to non-tax stakeholders.
• Identify tax risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
• Lead, develop, and mentor junior team members.
• Manage relationships with external advisors and auditors.
*This role is based in Warren, NJ, and follows a hybrid model, requiring an in-office presence of 3 days per week.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 8-12+ years of relevant tax experience with a focus on U.S. corporate income tax compliance and tax accounting (ASC 740 / IAS 12)
• Working knowledge of FDII, BEAT, and CAMT.
• Experience managing tax compliance processes, external advisors, and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• Continuous-improvement mindset.
Preferred qualifications:
• CPA, EA, MST, or other relevant advanced qualification
• Experience working with multinational entities
• Canadian tax experience
The salary range for this role is: $139,110 - $200,000 USD annually plus an annual bonus.
