The Opportunity:

We're looking to fill an opening for a Senior Manager, Talent Management to join our People & Culture team.

Reporting to the Director, Talent Management, the Senior Manager, Talent Management is responsible for developing strategic business partnerships to provide advice, support and consultation on leadership development and talent management initiatives aimed at achieving business results through quality leadership. This role will focus on the employee development experience from onboarding throughout their career at Aviso.

What your day looks like:
  • Acts as an in-house consultant to the HR Business Partners and all levels of management in the following areas: Talent identification and management, Succession planning, Competency development, Needs assessment, Learning and development offers for high potentials, Career Development, Leadership assessment and development, Performance management and Strategic planning to ensure the development of talent to meet business objectives
  • Gain cross-functional support for key objectives and priorities through collaborative relationships to develop and deliver an enterprise wide values & behaviours leadership model and framework, translating business strategy into leadership requirements
  • Determine talent assessment, identifying organizational metrics for the health of talent. Integrating talent programs into Workday in partnership with HR Systems. Refine and scale succession planning and leadership management process for the ongoing improvement and effectiveness of leaders at Aviso and ensure HR Business Partners are equipped to execute on process
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partners in identifying individual and group development requirements and determining plans by defining, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies and programs to support leadership development and strengthen the leadership pipeline
  • Analyze enterprise talent data, developing materials for talent discussions at senior leadership level and the board of directors. Partner with People Analytics and HR Systems to full leverage Workday and activate reports that are business friendly and move the needle on tapping into internal talent mobility
  • Identify, research, source, design, deliver and manage programs to meet the leadership development needs including personality assessments, 360-degree assessment, and transitional coaching to drive business results and increase effectiveness
  • Build career paths that identify possibilities for employees to grow their careers at Aviso. Help orchestrate internal cross divisional movement in partnership with HRBP partners and the business. Design and deliver range of programs to support growth (i.e., mentorship, career advisory services, assessment integration etc.)
  • Lead the design and implementation of key initiatives such as enterprise leadership development programs, curriculum, assessment strategies, and experiences to support all levels of leaders, with a focus on leadership high potential programs
  • Design cross-functional experiences to accelerate development for targeted talent pools and manage special projects related to talent

Requirements

Your experience and skills:
  • 5+ years' experience in talent management or organizational development
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a financial services company
  • Post-secondary degree in any discipline. Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources and CHRP preferred
  • Key competencies: Impactful Communications, Teamwork, Critical Thinking and Decision Making, Innovation and Creativity, Agility/Resilience
  • An experienced professional with the initiative to take a project and run with it through to success with minimum supervision
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset to effectively communicate with partners, clients, and colleagues across Canada
  • Experience with competencies, adult learning principles assessment and development tools is an asset
  • Strong design, facilitation, and program management skills
  • Proven success quickly building credibility at all levels of the organization, including with senior leaders; demonstrates executive presence and gravitas
  • Experience juggling multiple competing demands, demonstrating urgency, flexibility and agility as business priorities shift; proactive
  • Excellent consulting, collaboration, organizational and relationship management skills

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $115,000 - $135,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
