What is the opportunity?

As Senior Manager, T&O Leadership Programs you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and implementation of talent development programs in RBC Technology & Operations.

Your advanced facilitation expertise, combined with program management, coaching, instructional design capabilities and direct experience with people management will be essential to creating transformative learning experiences that develop and enable the growth of new and existing people leaders.

You will drive program excellence by ensuring quality standards, developing relevant training materials, and implementing data-driven evaluation methods that demonstrate measurable impact. In this role you will collaborate effectively with partner teams and key stakeholders across T&O and RBC Enterprise to design impactful learning experiences and ensure seamless program execution.

What will you do?
  • Facilitate engaging workshops and training sessions (in-person and virtual) for Tech[redacted]: People Management and other leadership programs, ensuring active participation and knowledge transfer across diverse audiences, from new-to-role leaders to senior executives.
  • Coach managers and leaders at all levels, focused on enabling growth-oriented mindsets and enhancing leadership capabilities.
  • Design comprehensive and engaging leadership development programs that cater to diverse leadership needs for every stage of the management journey.
  • Craft clear and compelling communications to support end-to-end program implementation, including thought leadership content that enhances leadership development and management effectiveness.
  • Design program evaluations, analyze collected data and create reports for senior leadership review on insights and best practices for program improvement.
  • Monitor and report on emerging trends and best practices in leadership development.
  • Enhance or develop additional initiatives for the broader Leadership Programs portfolio as required.
  • Deepen relationships and seek opportunities to collaborate with the broader community of partners across HR and COEs with focus on leadership development work.
  • This role requires delivering training and facilitation primarily within the Greater Toronto Region (GTR) for in-person sessions, with occasional travel to domestic and international office locations based on business need.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Organizational Psychology, Business)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience facilitating leadership training content with diverse audience levels and sizes, demonstrating expertise in managing group dynamics and guiding experiential learning
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Instructional Design and/or Organizational Design, Learning and Development, Coaching or related roles
  • Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience, with demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Deep understanding of leadership models, emotional intelligence, coaching methodologies, and team dynamics as they apply to facilitation practice
  • Track record of successfully leading high-profile programs/projects with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders, internal subject-matter experts, and external vendors, ensuring seamless program execution
  • Strong instructional design skills, with ability to create engaging and effective learning materials for various formats (webinars and virtual classroom)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with natural ability to build rapport and trust with employees of all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Curiosity-driven approach to learning and experimenting with AI technology to enhance leadership development outcomes, with passion for enabling individuals and organizations to thrive.


Nice-to-have:
  • Experience presenting in front of large groups and executives.
  • Experience or certification with adult education and curriculum design.
  • Certification in coaching or facilitation is highly desirable and an asset.
