Job DescriptionSenior Manager Surgical Services RN- SURGERY at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour Day shifts.
Directs clinical and support services staff. Functions as a member of the administrative management team in all aspects of Surgery and Perianesthesia management.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large clinical teams with a
span of control of 50+ caregivers and demonstrated expertise in perioperative operations, including block scheduling, staffing, productivity management, and on-call coverage. This leader will partner closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care, operational excellence, and caregiver engagement.
Required Qualifications:- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing Or
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 5 years of progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience.
- 3 years of leadership or management experience in perioperative or procedural services.
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's Degree Nursing
- Upon hire: National Certification
- Experience with Magnet Organization
- Experience leading OR, PACU, and procedural areas; GI Lab and Pre-Admission Testing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of block scheduling, workforce planning, on-call management, budgeting, and productivity metrics.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- Creative problem solver with a focus on innovation, patient experience, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency.
