We are in search of a Sr. Manager Supply chain, Idaho Packaging to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels that minimize backorders, achieve optimal Fill Rates, Turns, and SLOB targets. The Sr. Manager Supply Chain leads and directs all warehouse, transportation and facility-related activities within a distribution center(s). This role ensures efficient product handling, timely deliveries, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Sr. Manager Supply Chain drives operational excellence through strong leadership, process optimization, and a customer-centric mindset. Oversee the daily functions and strategic initiatives of the Customer Service department. Manages a staff of customer service representatives and ensures that customers are retained, satisfied, and that their needs are fulfilled. Responsible for designing and implementing improved process or operational policies. Recommend changes to products or services to fulfill customer needs. Working with the Idaho Packaging team to achieve Company initiatives and financial objectives such as provided by Executive Leadership.Responsibilities Include: - Effectively utilize current ERP (Enterprise resource planning) to analyze suggested order
quantities and generate purchase orders to vendors while maintaining inventory levels based on BradyPLUS' s stocking criteria.
- Maintain and balance inventory levels within the Distribution Centers using on-hand, on-order, and transfer quantities in-order to meet or exceed service levels, fill rates and turns.
- Understand forecasting methods and utilize this knowledge to analyze shipment and
sales data to replenish basic item quantities. Create purchase orders to facilitate timely
replenishment to the Distribution Centers.
- Analyze critical inventory reports throughout the day.
- Process all purchase orders including drop shipments and inter-company transfers.
- Analyzing SLOB (Slow Moving Obsolete Inventory) report to minimize inventory becoming
overstocked and obsolete.
- Provide strategic leadership and support regional operations management with short and mid-term planning for the distribution center
- Provide positive and inspirational leadership to all distribution center associates
- Ensuring operations are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain an effective staffing plan. Manage full-time and temporary headcount to meet budget and operational objectives.
- Select, train, develop, and motivate employees; evaluate performance, lead with courage, combat turnover, and maintain morale and culture.
- Manage route logistics for efficient deliveries and ensure outstanding customer service.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment to protect employee well-being and minimize risk and loss to the company.
- Manage expenses to an operational budget and review cost of goods to maximize profitability.
- Provide logistical input to streamline the operation while improving efficiency.
- Work with Sales Management to ensure a best-in-class customer experience
- Oversee maintenance and safety standards for the facility, equipment and vehicles.
- Approve credits for returns or pricing.
- Ensure OSHA and DOT compliance for all employees, equipment and vehicles.
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - 5+ years of experience in distribution operations, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a good to excellent proficiency level in
- Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Must be self-directed, make decisions within prescribed guidelines, be able to identify problems as encountered and make quick decisions to determine corrective action.
- Previous ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) purchasing module experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; College degree a plus
- Inspirational leadership skills to build and retain a high performing team
- Strong knowledge of ERP and WMS systems with ability to learn and train others on new systems
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and all safety compliance standards
- Experience in fleet management
- Clear understanding of Profit & Loss principles and budgeting
- Intermediate experience with MS Office
- Ability to be flexible and work extended or adjusted hours to ensure presence and support across all shifts, or to address urgent customer needs
- Experience and ability to operate Material Handling Equipment and drive company Delivery Vehicles as necessary
- Valid driver's license and safe driving history
- Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs and walk, climb, kneel, stoop, and balance frequently
