Job DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?RBCx is seeking a Senior Manager to serve as a foundational operational and strategic leader supporting the launch of several high-impact programs within the Strategy & Investments team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Strategy and Investment Operations, this role will be instrumental in establishing the operational, financial, and analytical infrastructure required to scale.
As a high-impact first hire, you will directly support the Senior Director across fund inception and ongoing operations, implementation of digital assets strategies, and other strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will blend deep financial modeling and business casing expertise with the ability to build and operate programs. Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty, combined with adaptability and the willingness to wear multiple hats, will be critical to success in this role.
What Will You Do?Business Casing & Financial Modelling - Develop comprehensive business cases supporting program launches, enterprise transformation projects, M&A transactions, and investment funds, translating strategy into financial models and projections
- Create and maintain financial models supporting investment decisions, fund performance analysis
- Conduct pre- and post-implementation financial analysis to assess project impacts and identify optimization opportunities
- Manage annual financial planning and forecasting cycles for the Strategy & Investments team; track spend and analyze variances
Cross-Functional Operations & Enablement- Act as a liaison across multiple program areas including digital assets, M&A, fund operations, and portfolio oversight to ensure seamless alignment
- Design and implement operating and governance models and policies that enable the effective operations of new initiatives
- Drive operational efficiencies through process improvements, automation identification, and best practice implementation
- Support strategic reporting and executive dashboards to provide visibility to leadership
Investment Operations & Performance Oversight- Support the design and implementation of operational frameworks for new investment funds
- Contribute to fund administration activities, liaising with investor relations, fund administrators, finance, auditors, and legal teams
- Develop scalable infrastructure for investment operations, including data management systems and workflow automation
- Support the development of portfolio management systems to track performance, risk exposure, and value creation metrics
- Identify growth levers and support strategic initiatives to drive revenue and operational maturity across the portfolio
What Do You Need to Succeed?Must-Have- CPA, CFA, or MBA designation
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, operations, or strategic roles within investment environments, financial services, or growth-focused organizations
- Expert-level financial modeling and business case development expertise
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis
- Experience building financial forecasts, frameworks, and strategic analyses
- Strong ability to work collaboratively across stakeholder groups and lead without formal authority, including with senior leaders
- Comfort presenting to and communicating with executives
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholder requests simultaneously
- Strong cross-functional influence and collaboration skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues into clear, concise insights and compelling narratives
- Demonstrated bias for action and experience managing project-related work
Nice-to-Have- Knowledge emerging strategies and regulator developments within the digital assets and tokenized money space
- Experience in consulting, venture/growth equity, or a large financial institution
- Experience with fund administration, fund-of-funds structures, or investment platform operations
- Exposure to fintech or innovation ecosystems
- Familiarity with M&A due diligence or corporate development environments
