Purpose: The Senior Manager, Strategy & Insights, will provide strategic, operational, and communications support for the Innovative Medicine Quality organization. This role will help shape and deliver the IM Quality strategy narrative, strengthen understanding of organizational priorities and milestones, and support consistent engagement across leaders, employees, and key stakeholders. The Senior Manager will lead and support assigned projects, cross-functional programs, and strategic initiatives; champion change management; and provide support for key meetings, presentations, and leadership engagements. This role reports to the IM Quality Director, Strategy & Insights.
You will be responsible for:Communications Strategy and Execution:- Develop communications strategies, messaging, and materials for the IMQ organization across channels and formats.
- Identify and elevate stories that demonstrate IMQ's impact on customers, patients, and Johnson & Johnson's commitment to quality.
- Translate complex data, digital, AI, and innovation strategies into clear, compelling communications for leadership and employee audiences.
- Communicate IM Quality operating model updates, milestones, metrics, and progress with clarity and consistency.
- Ensure internal narratives reflect relevant industry context and align with broader IMQ messaging.
- Support internal IMQ communications, including town halls, leader dialogues, and enterprise updates.
- Manage the IMQ homepage, IMQ Viva Engage community, and IM Quality Newsletter.
- Manage communications contractors and partner agencies, as needed.
Strategic and Operational Support:- Lead and support assigned projects, complex cross-functional programs, and strategic initiatives across IM Quality.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and provide insights into company and industry developments, product launches, and competitive activity.
- Develop strategic messaging and support speaking engagements, leadership meetings, and executive presentations.
- Help build a high-performing IM Quality culture by championing change management and strengthening employee and stakeholder engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:- Drive execution of the IMQ communications strategy, ensuring consistency across channels and maintaining visibility to IMQ communications activities.
- Partner with key stakeholders across IMQ to identify emerging communications and engagement needs and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder mapping to tailor communications and engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with communications and change management partners to ensure aligned, integrated messaging.
- Define, track, and analyze metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the IM Quality communications strategy and inform continuous improvement.
Qualifications/Requirements:- A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent university degree is required; a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Change Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, public relations, or a related field is required.
- Experience creating high-quality written and visual content across multiple formats.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing, editing, storytelling, and audience-specific messaging.
- Familiarity with digital, social, and multimedia communications platforms.
- Strong active listening, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated industry landscape, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling communications.
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience planning, developing content for, and supporting executive-level communications, meetings, and engagements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, foster cooperation, and build consensus.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with sound independent judgment and the ability to identify priorities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently to create and deliver outcomes.
- Proven ability to drive outcomes through collaboration and influence without authority.
- Change Management certification, including Prosci certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of quality and compliance organizations preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or another regulated industry preferred.
- Other: This position may require up to 15% domestic and international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year
Military Spouse Time-Off - 80 hours per calendar year
