Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Transformation & Enterprise Operations (TEO) consists of ~1,500 employees across Canada, and the Caribbean. The enterprise Operations business is responsible for operating and expanding shared services related to Payments and Trade, Cash Processing, and Finance Shared Services such as GL Reconciliations, Accounts Payable and reporting services. We are accountable for enhancing RBC's industry-leading position in processing vast array of cash management, payments, and trade products for clients on a global basis.
The TEO Transformation office within TEO enables horizontal collaboration and are critical in driving the strategic initiatives for both the operations teams and across T&O. This team is accountable for the TEO strategy, including developing and delivering programs across TEO to drive measurable and impactful outcomes aligned directly to the strategy and our Apex 2029 ambitions.
This role is critical to driving TEO's strategic agenda and enabling organizational transformation. Reporting to the Director, Strategy, Communications & Operating Office (SCOO), this position will be responsible for strategic initiative development and execution. This role will define strategic direction, secure stakeholder alignment, and ensure initiatives are executed with measurable impact. This role will bridge strategy and execution, serving as a trusted strategic advisor, managing weekly SMT agenda and engaging with senior leaders across TEO and partners to advance TEO's strategic priorities.
What will you do? Strategic Initiatives and Transformation- Identify, develop and own strategic initiatives aligned to TEO's strategic priorities, including defining scope, approach, success outcomes, stakeholder engagement models and implementation roadmaps
- Conduct strategic analysis and research to inform initiative recommendations, including competitive intelligence, market trends, and organizational assessments
- Lead initiative planning and execution from concept through completion, with accountability for measurable business outcomes
- Make strategic decisions and recommendations to drive business value
- Act as champion of the strategy, working with pillar leads to drive activation of strategy within their teams. Hand off initiatives to appropriate stakeholders or teams once established, ensuring smooth transition and sustained momentum
- Create standardized strategic materials including clear and concise insights, recommendations and key metrics to provide leadership awareness of progress against strategy, and insights to prioritize action and decision making
- Support the development and aggregation of goals, metrics, OKRs, and KPIs to drive transparency across TEO and track progress against strategic initiatives
- Develop professional presentation content to effectively communicate strategic findings and business implications to relevant stakeholders and senior management team
- Own the weekly Senior Management Team agenda, including agenda setting, coordination of speakers / guests and ensuring alignment with strategi priorities
What do you need to succeed?Must Have - 5+ years of transformational change and strategic initiative experience, including strategy development, business case building and initiative execution
- Professional PowerPoint skills to develop content and tailor messaging for senior executives
- Strong storyboarding and content delivery skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously across a wide range of stakeholders
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and across different lines of business
- Interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization
- Flexible attitude with ability to pivot and adapt to achieve business outcomes
- Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook), Webex and other video conferencing platforms
Nice to Have- 5+ years of management consulting experience with a major consulting firm
- MBA or graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
- Change management training and/or certification
- Knowledge of RBC Connect, Confluence, Jira and RBC Assist
