  • Support modernization across cloud and analytical platforms such as Azure, GCP, Databricks, Power BI, Python, SQL, scheduling/orchestration tools, and API-based integration patterns.
  • Improve end-to-end platform reliability through proactive monitoring, incident reduction, root-cause analysis, service metrics, and operational health dashboards.
  • Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, maintainability, performance, and alignment with enterprise architecture and technology standards.

4. Governance, Risk, and Controls
  • Ensure reporting and analytics services comply with Scotiabank standards for security, privacy, access management, change management, auditability, and operational controls.
  • Establish quality checks, reconciliation points, lineage documentation, release controls, and evidence required for audit, compliance, and regulatory expectations.
  • Proactively manage operational, delivery, and control risks; escalate issues with clear impact assessment, mitigation options, owners, and decision points.
  • Support internal audit, regulatory, and governance reviews by ensuring documentation and control evidence are complete, current, and fit for purpose.

5. Stakeholder and Delivery Management
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders across International Banking, Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology.
  • Provide clear executive updates on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, decisions required, and business impact.
  • Manage vendor, partner, and cross-functional dependencies to ensure commitments are delivered with transparency and accountability.
  • Promote a customer-focused culture that balances speed of delivery, service stability, regulatory expectations, and long-term simplification.

6. People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of managers, engineers, analysts, and delivery professionals across local and global locations.
  • Build a culture of accountability, inclusion, engineering discipline, continuous improvement, and strong partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Support workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, recruitment, performance management, and capability uplift aligned to future-state needs.
