THE ROLE: SENIOR MANAGER, SOCIAL MEDIA
The Senior Social Media Manager is the strategic owner of Every Man Jack's organic social presence. The right person is deeply immersed in millennial male consumer culture-with a track record of building platforms and communities around this particular segment through compelling content strategy, a distinct brand voice, and a genuine feel for what resonates.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing, they move at the speed of culture, develop a team while staying close to the work, and know when to react, when to brief, and when to let a moment pass. Ultimately, their ideas, content, and strategy should drive a measurable increase in share of voice for the Every Man Jack brand. They think in strategy and execute in-app.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Channel Strategy and Ownership
- Own the organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and emerging platforms-defining what EMJ stands for in each space and how the brand shows up with consistency and cultural relevance
- Grow Every Man Jack's digital share of voice with the goal of becoming the fastest growing brand in our competitive set-owning the metrics, tracking performance, and ensuring the team's strategy and output get us there
- Develop and maintain channel-specific content and voice guidelines grounded in our "For Men Who Put in the Work" brand platform, giving the team a shared language for what great EMJ social looks and sounds like
- Set and track channel-level goals-and translate social trends, consumer signals, and platform performance into insights that inform how EMJ shows up digitally and where the brand has room to lead.
Content Creation and Planning
- Develop a monthly content calendar that integrates with broader marketing campaigns while leaving room to move on culture in real time
- Lead the creation of original content-briefing, writing, concepting, and producing in-app when the moment calls for it
- Identify and activate on cultural moments relevant to our consumer, moving quickly and authentically when the moment is right and knowing when to pass
- Bring a strong editorial sensibility to everything the brand publishes. Every post should feel intentional, on-voice, and worth our consumer's attention
Community Management
- Oversee community management across all organic and paid channels, ensuring the brand is responsive, warm, and on-voice in every interaction
- Be the first line of communication with the EMJ community-engaging with brand partners and fans, responding to comments, and representing the brand with authenticity
- Monitor social listening to understand what people are saying about EMJ, the category, and key outlets and interests of our core consumer, and bring those insights back into strategy
Team and Agency Leadership
- Assemble and develop the right team (internal and/or external) to execute at the speed and quality the role demands.
- Manage and direct agency partners as needed, setting clear briefs, holding the creative standard, and maintaining accountability on deliverables
- Build a team environment grounded in ownership, craft, and a genuine love for the brand and knowledge of our consumer
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Brand, Creative, and the Brand Strategist to produce content that is on-brand, visually strong, and directly supports company and product priorities
- Partner with Creator Marketing and PR to ensure organic social is a connected, integrated part of the full earned and owned marketing mix - surfacing new partnership opportunities, flagging cultural moments worth activating on, and ensuring creator briefs reflect social needs and cultural timing
- Collaborate with Paid Media and Performance Marketing to ensure organic and paid social work in concert
- Contribute to integrated campaign briefs so social strategy is built in from the start, not connected after the fact
Analytics and Reporting
- Own social performance reporting with a consistent cadence, surfacing insights that sharpen strategy and inform decisions across the Integrated Marketing team
- Manage and maximize social management and listening tools (Sprout Social or equivalent), staying current on new capabilities and recommending upgrades when warranted
- Track competitive social performance across the challenger set and use those findings to inform strategy

Candidates must be passionate and proactive about building brands through culture, community, and content. This person is highly strategic and deeply creative, someone who can develop a sharp point of view on where social is headed and then roll up their sleeves and make the content themselves. They are organized, calm under pressure, and energized by a fast-moving environment. They lead with good judgment, build strong relationships across teams, and bring contagious enthusiasm for the work. A true ambassador for Every Man Jack and champion of our consumer, inside and out.
CAPABILITIES & SKILLS PROVIDED
- 5-10+ years of social media experience, with at least 2 years in a strategy or leadership role at a consumer brand-with a demonstrated track record of growing platforms, communities and SOV amongst men
- Highly strategic and analytical thinker with experience using social management and listening tools (Sprout Social, AI tools, or equivalent) to inform decisions, not just report on them
- A creative at heart-someone who can concept, write, and produce content themselves and brings a strong editorial sensibility to everything the team publishes
- Deep platform fluency across Instagram and TikTok, including content strategy, community management, analytics, and a genuine feel for what earns attention
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a social team with a management style that builds ownership and accountability
- Experience managing and directing agency partners-setting the brief, holding the standard, and knowing when to push back
- Strong cross-functional collaborator who builds relationships across marketing, creative, and sales and brings others along on the social vision
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to embody and protect brand voice across all channels
- Proven ability to activate on cultural moments with speed and precision- reactive when the moment demands it, planned when the strategy calls for it
- Proficient with a cell phone camera and comfortable creating in-app content independently when the moment calls for it
- Already plugged into and able to draw from deep experience from the worlds our consumer cares about, from outdoor and sport to wellness and sustainability
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
