Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of Scotia Jarislowsky Fraser (SJF) by driving the strategic direction, design, and deployment of transformational digital initiatives and advanced, insight-driven business applications. This role is responsible for steering the platform digital roadmap, managing cognitive automation tools, and building insight-ready data assets that empower advisors and high-net-worth (HNW) clients. Acting as a critical business architect, this role bridges the gap between frontline relationship teams and enterprise technology/data engineering groups, ensuring all digital experiences drive client primacy, operational leverage, and consistent asset growth while adhering to strict wealth risk frameworks.

As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For:

Platform Governance & Strategic Capability Shaping
  • Roadmap & Requirement Governance: Lead the platform roadmap governance and strategic requirements shaping for SJF's advisor and client experience, acting as the accountable business owner across cross-functional prioritization routines.
  • Intelligent Workflow Deployment: Drive the design, configuration, and deployment of advanced cognitive workflows and contextual insight engines on internal adaptive platforms, directly addressing the efficiency and productivity needs of advisors. Work with procurement to manage end-to-end vendor engagements for prioritized initiatives, from initial scoping through implementation.
  • Enterprise Alignment: Align all platform enhancements with the broader enterprise Scotia Intelligence ecosystem, identifying high-value use cases that accelerate client onboarding, automate complex servicing, and deepen portfolio penetration. Own and continuously refine the end-to-end use case intake, triage, prioritization, and delivery process.
  • Executive Thought Partnership: Serve as a critical thought partner to senior wealth executives on where to invest, scale, stop, or pivot platform capabilities based on measurable adoption and client experience analytics. Craft business and technical requirements in partnership with business and technology teams.
  • Collaborate with IT to design a citizen development framework aligned with SJF guardrails and best practices.

Omnichannel Journey Design & Insight-Ready Data Assets
  • Bespoke Client Experience: Own the end-to-end user experience vision, ensuring all omnichannel digital interactions match the bespoke, premium standards of the Scotia Jarislowsky Fraser brand.
  • Usability Optimization: Continuously optimize platform usability to maximize measurable business outcomes, including asset retention, cross-segment client handoffs, and advisor field productivity.
  • Data Product Implementation: Lead the business-led development and lifecycle management of advanced, insight-ready data products, ensuring complex data from core architecture is structured, cleansed, and optimized for predictive analytical applications.
  • Workflow Embedding: Ensure data products are highly trusted, actionable, and seamlessly embedded into daily wealth management routines, interactive dashboards, and executive decision-making processes.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with the Data Office and Analytics teams to build out the business intelligence layer, ensuring a direct line of sight between data accessibility and Total Relatable Benefits (TRB) growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership, Influence & Risk Governance
  • Matrix Liaison: Act as the primary strategic liaison between SJF business stakeholders and technical execution partners, masterfully managing cross-functional dependencies in a fast-paced, agile, and matrixed environment.
  • Fiduciary & Risk Governance: Govern advanced platform solutions with a client-first and fiduciary mindset, ensuring complete transparency, regulatory compliance, and total alignment with Scotiabank's risk appetite, data privacy policies, and AML/ATF/sanctions risk frameworks.
  • High-Performance Culture: Run training, demos, and hands-on events in collaboration with SJF advisors. Foster an inclusive, high-performance environment; communicate a clear strategic vision, manage project-level governance, and effectively socialize program results with senior wealth leadership to demonstrate velocity and justify ongoing funding

Over the longer term, key responsibilities may include:
  • Identify opportunities for strategic differentiation through custom-built digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with business sponsors to ensure strong ownership and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead feasibility assessments and business case development for in-house builds.
  • Define long-term KPIs and success metrics to track progress and maturity.
  • Develop a roadmap to transition digital solution from a standalone initiative to a core part of SJF's operating model.

What Do You Need to Succeed?
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in financial services, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on digital product management, advanced business analytics, or wealth platform enablement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Direct experience managing or deploying predictive analytics models and advanced automation workflows within a sophisticated wealth management or private banking environment.
  • Proven track record of working within modern data ecosystems to structure complex, multi-source datasets into business-facing analytics products.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and forge relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with sound business judgement and ability to use data to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement;
  • Strong conceptual and working familiarity with data handling protocols and enterprise architecture structures to effectively guide and influence technical engineering squads.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; a proven ability to translate highly complex, algorithmic, and technical concepts into clear, commercial business outcomes for executive leaders and non-technical frontline staff.
  • Strong organizational know-how and matrix-management skills; capable of aligning diverse stakeholders, resolving delivery friction, and driving decisions without direct lines of control.
  • High degree of professional empathy for both the HNW client journey and the advisor experience, ensuring automated tools feel seamless, practical, and highly impactful in client conversations.
  • Strong business judgment and critical thinking skills; comfortable operating with high degrees of ambiguity and driving complex initiatives from initial concept to scalable market adoption.
