ABOUT THE POSITION:
Aerospace Division is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of SIOP to drive our demand forecasts, inventory control, and production planning processes, ensuring alignment across all functions of our organization to meet executive strategy and optimize business performance. The Senior Manager of SIOP will be responsible for leading the end-to-end SIOP process, ensuring seamless coordination between sales, operations, and inventory management to maximize business performance. This role will work closely with senior leadership, sales, supply chain, and production teams to develop and implement strategies that drive inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and production planning. This position will also monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and deliver actionable insights to ensure efficient operations while meeting customer demand and minimizing costs.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead SIOP Strategy: Oversee and manage the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the SIOP Planning process across the organization, aligning strategies with business goals to drive revenue and profitability.
Forecasting and Demand Planning: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to create accurate and actionable demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and customer feedback.
Production and Capacity Planning: Collaborate with operations and manufacturing teams to ensure production plans are aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets. Manage capacity planning to balance production efficiency with customer needs.
Inventory Optimization: Oversee the inventory management strategy to ensure optimal stock levels across all product lines, minimizing excess inventory while meeting customer demands. Monitor and manage inventory turnover to reduce costs and improve cash flow.
Collaboration Across Functions: Serve as a key liaison between sales, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, and finance to ensure cross-functional alignment in meeting objectives.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics and reporting tools to track performance, identify trends, and proactively address potential supply chain or production issues.
Continuous Improvement: Lead the development and execution of SIOP best practices, continuously evaluating and improving the process to enhance operational efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction.
Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor planning team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience in implementing and managing SIOP/IBP processes in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data, identify key trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate across all functions and levels of the organization.
In-depth knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and supply chain optimization.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NAV) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with advanced SIOP or demand planning software is a plus.
Extensive experience using the Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
Results-oriented, with a strong focus on driving efficiency and delivering measurable outcomes.
Base salary range: $165,000 - 185,000
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
