Responsibilities
• Drive strategic negotiations with global OSAT partners for silicon test services, optimizing rate structures, TTR, incentive frameworks, and facility commitments to balance cost, capacity, and scalability.
• Develop and operationalize should-cost models for silicon test, leveraging test time, multi-site efficiency, and asset utilization to improve unit economics.
• Partner with Demand Planning and NPI teams to secure test capacity (equipment and labor) 1-3 years ahead of ramp, ensuring readiness and minimizing supply risk.
• Contribute to custom silicon sourcing strategy, partnering across Azure hardware, engineering, and supplier ecosystems to align on technology and capacity roadmaps.
• Build and manage executive-level supplier relationships across the semiconductor value chain (Foundry, OSAT, Substrate, Test) to enable performance, continuity, and alignment.
• Ensure supply continuity through structured forecasting, supplier selection, and qualification processes aligned to engineering and business requirements.
• Drive cross-functional execution with sourcing, planning, and program teams to deliver cost, schedule, and material readiness for silicon programs.
• Lead procurement and readiness of manufacturing test hardware (e.g., probe cards, load boards) to support production ramps.
• Establish operating rigor across supplier management, including RoB, QBRs/EBRs, and performance reporting.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks, establishing escalation paths and proactive mitigation strategies across the supply base.
• Contribute to internal initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and resilience of Microsoft's custom silicon supply chain.
