Full Job Description
The Senior Manager, Sales Training & Development, identifies, develops and implements sales training strategy plans, programs and related activities for the US Neurosurgery portfolio of products to ensure that existing and new products meet Company goals and expectations. The incumbent will lead end-to-end sales training spanning onboarding, foundational, advanced, and continuous learning through comprehensive digital and in person learning engagements.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this is an individual contributor role that will partner with sales, global and regional marketing, global commercial operations, sales training peers from other business units and other critical cross-functional business partners to drive robust sales training initiatives that align to commercial needs and business priorities.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

On-boarding and e-Learning:
  • Manage e-learning content design and integration for LMS users and reporting structure; participate in evaluation, creation, development, and implementation of enhanced remote learning platforms to improve and compress learning
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal and Quality to ensure effective on-boarding of new hires in all functional areas
  • Support vendor credentialing process and needs of commercial team members

Classroom/Face-to-Face Programs:
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver an adult-training curriculum with a focus on interactive, engaging mechanisms for sales team members with coordinated support of Sales Leadership, Field Sales Trainers, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Global Commercial Operations and other key personnel
  • Actively manage the Field Sales Training program, including the selection process, skill development, and utilization of the team
  • Integrate surgeon key opinion leaders into the sales training curriculum spanning anatomy, pathology, disease management and product / portfolio education initiatives both virtually and in person
  • Effectively communicate product characteristics, marketing strategy, value proposition, and selling methodology, competitive positioning and objection handling to sales team members
  • Critically analyze effectiveness of sales training efforts and implement innovative, strategic changes to training process to enhance learning effectiveness
  • Ensure that all training materials meet the company standards for compliant presentation and communication of product information; review all materials with Marketing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Legal team to confirm standards are met.
  • Leverage specialty facilitators and technology-based training tools as appropriate to deliver value add development programs to sales account managers, field sales trainers and sales managers

Learning Strategy and Skills Development
  • Refine training program strategy by coordinating with sales and marketing strategic plans and objectives; adapt learning programs on an on-going basis to be congruent with their needs
  • Routinely solicit feedback and utilize data to monitor and drive sales effectiveness
  • Maintain current knowledge of product industry trends, competing or complementary technologies and competitive threats and develop materials for the sales team
  • Leverage digital learning platforms to drive continuous learning and engagement with the sales team
  • Drive engagement and development of the Field Sales Training program to cultivate talent and development opportunities for high potential sales talent
  • Invest in sales manager development opportunities to enhance effectiveness of sales leaders in business execution and talent development

Meeting/Administration
  • Support coordination, design and implementation of the annual National Training Meeting and other regional meetings as needed
  • Manage and administer the Vendor Credentialing process and activities
  • Prepare annual budget forecasts for the training function. Manage travel and expenses per approved budget


Qualifications:
  • BA in Business, Education, Sciences or related discipline
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience required, with previous sales training experience
  • Proven track record for creating, updating, and delivering highly effective face-to-face and virtual sales training sessions required
  • Previous sales experience preferred
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities; maintain good working relationships while dealing appropriately with sensitive and confidential matters and with a wide variety of personal contacts
  • Proficiency with PC-based office computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SCORM-based educational software packages required
  • Proficiency with AI tools and capabilities (Microsoft Copilot) strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and develop creative and innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Ability to travel up to 30% including occasional weekends for conferences and meetings
  • Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements with which Integra LifeSciences participates.


Salary Pay Range:

$125,350.00 - $172,500.00 USD Salary
