Under the direction of the Director of Risk Monitoring and Insights, this role leads the development and maintenance of the Canadian retail credit risk reporting framework, including related operational processes and procedures. The incumbent is accountable for enhancing and automating reporting for the Canadian consumer credit portfolios while overseeing the design, development, validation, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of reporting solutions. This role is ideally suited for an individual who thrives on solving complex challenges and driving continuous improvements in reporting efficiency, quality, and automation.

- Leads the development and maintenance of the Canadian retail credit risk reporting framework and supporting operational processes and procedures.
- Leads initiatives to improve reporting effectiveness, efficiency, and automation.
- Designs, develops, and implements recurring and ad hoc reports to meet management and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Collaborates with data owners and business partners to support analytical and reporting needs.
- Ensures strong governance, data quality, and effective controls across risk reporting activities in accordance with enterprise standards.
- Applies creative and analytical thinking to address unique or ambiguous situations and solve complex, non-routine problems.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:- 7+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading reporting, automation, or process improvement initiatives in a financial services or risk management environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Python.
- Proficiency in Linux scripting and Power Automate.
- Experience using Git for source control and code management.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI is considered an asset.
- Expert knowledge of retail credit risk reporting and analytics.
- Expert knowledge of Canadian retail credit products.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Salary:$86,000.00 - $160,000.00
Pay Type: Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
