Full Job Description
Talent, Leadership & Results

  • Lead, coach, and develop Manager(s) of Residential Operations and Direct Support Professionals to create an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.
  • Partner with operational leaders, human resources, quality, and nursing to support hiring, onboarding, mentoring, training, engagement, recognition, and accountability.
  • Identify additional training and development needs for all staff as part of Quarterly Connections, coaching in the moment for performance.
  • Facilitate regular manager and team meetings and ensure follow-through on required trainings, documentation, staffing, quality, and compliance expectations.
  • Identify barriers, support resolution, and help managers achieve strong employee engagement and operational results.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for Managers, DSPs, Lead DSPs, people supported, parents, and guardians when local leadership efforts are not successful.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership behaviors and promote collaboration, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.


Program Leadership
  • Ensure standard AbleLight operating procedures and applicable state, local, and federal requirements are implemented consistently across assigned homes.
  • Monitor operational performance, staffing, training compliance, documentation, facilities/property needs, and budget-related expectations within scope.
  • Support preparation for and participation in state licensing surveys, walk-throughs, exit meetings, corrective action plans, and required responses.
  • Partner with managers to ensure timely, comprehensive, and objective documentation in health information, human resources, and financial systems.
  • Bring recommendations forward to improve quality, processes, employee experience, and services for people supported.


Person Centered Care and Services
  • Support managers in delivering person-centered care and services aligned with ISP/PSP expectations and the needs of people supported.
  • Promote strong communication and collaboration with people supported, parents and guardians, external providers, nursing, quality, and operational partners.
  • Support Medicaid redeterminations, renewals, admissions, and other required service documentation as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Residential Operations with residential growth priorities, balanced scorecard results, and operational readiness within assigned scope.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required/preferred.

Experience:

Three to five years of previous experience in a work position, volunteer/community role, or educational setting focused on serving and helping others. Three or more years of leadership experience in a related field, including experience leading supervisors, managers, or residential teams.

Travel/Flexibility

Ability to be flexible on hours and residential settings in your local community to assist colleagues and those we serve.
