Lead our quality team and elevate global standards for plastic molding excellence, ensuring our products meet the highest specifications and safety standards at our innovative Virginia site!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead Site Quality Function: Oversee all quality-related activities for plastic and injection-molded components.


  • Develop Quality Strategy: Align local operations with global quality initiatives and standards.


  • Manage Team & Efficient Quality Lab Processes: Supervise engineers and technicians while ensuring efficient lab processes, including metrology, reliability testing, and visual inspection functions


  • Ensure Product Compliance: Validate product designs against safety and quality standards.


  • Supplier Quality Management: Conduct audits and manage supplier performance to improve upstream quality.


  • Implement Problem Solving Techniques: Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality incidents.


  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and report KPIs to site leadership and global stakeholders.

This team collaborates closely with global quality networks to implement best practices, driving innovation and consistency across all products. By integrating cutting-edge technology and rigorous testing protocols, the department plays a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

The Senior Manager, Quality Molding, is integral to this mission, serving as a bridge between local operations and the broader global QEHS framework. This role not only leads the site's quality initiatives but also contributes to the company's global objectives by ensuring compliance with international standards. Through strategic leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams, the manager supports the organization's commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality products worldwide.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • Experience in plastics or injection molding, preferably with a quality background.


  • Experience leading teams and operating/managing CMM, CT scan, and other advanced lab equipment.


  • Proficiency in data analysis, quality software, and reporting tools.


  • Advanced education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.


  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and structured problem-solving (8D, Root Cause Analysis).


Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with U.S. and international safety and compliance standards related to consumer products or toys (ASTM F963, ISO 8124, EN71).


  • Experience working in a global or matrixed quality organization preferred.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Additional:

  • Relocation will be available


  • Some international travel will be required


Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $142,681.00 - $214,021.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
