Job Description

Develop a risk-balanced demand plan that supports commercial objectives: Generating a monthly revenue and consumer sales plan that supports customer plans, marketing goals, and financial reporting. Manage changes to demand plan needs at both the topline and item mix levels and oversee retailer inventory planning and execution to deliver efficient flow of goods to improve both item in-stocks and inventory productivity at retail.

Core Responsibilities

Develop the risk-balanced monthly demand plan that supports the commercial objectives, customer and marketing plans of the Canada Business Unit (BU) and reflects the outlook for monthly and full year shipments, consumer sales, and retail closing stock.

As the owner of the monthly S&OP process, lead the BU accountability for the monthly forecasts to deliver a full year Sales, Shipments and Inventory plan. This includes:
  • In-depth analysis of current Sales, Shipment and Retail Inventory performance and seasonality
  • Ensure that the demand plan outlook is incorporated into market group plans
  • Review, challenge and consolidate Sales, Marketing and Demand Planning forecast assumption changes. Provide Plan outlook recommendations to the LEGO Canada Leadership Team.
  • Lead local cross-functional gap to target process to identify actions to mitigate risks to the full year plan
  • Work closely and collaboratively with regional and global demand planning colleagues to ensure seamless execution and drive continuous improvement in the S&OP process, tools and outcomes.
  • Ensure timely submission of demand plan to regional, Finance and Supply Chain partners.


Lead Continuous Improvement of forecast accuracy metrics, S&OP tools and processes:
  • Evaluate topline and item forecasting metrics and develop action plans to deliver improvements and achieve important metrics
  • Identify plans to support novelty and key audiences in the demand plan
  • Lead team development and implementation of new processes, dashboards and reports to improve forecast outcomes and team productivity
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize Canada S&OP process
  • Motivate and coach demand planning and inventory management team to drive continuous upgrading of team skills, processes and outcomes

This role is critical to leading the development of an accurate monthly demand plan and leading the continuous improvement agenda of both our planning processes, tools, and team competencies. A leader within the Operations team and the Canada BU, the Senior Demand Planning Manager identifies and champions cross-functional actions to deliver improvements in key operational targets and success metrics (topline and item error, forecast value add, retail closing stock, in-stocks, team motivation).

Compensation
The annual base salary for this position has a range from $139,761.00 - $209,641.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational set-up. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law when determining the salary. A bonus scheme with a target Bonus of of the annual base salary is in place for this position as well as a standard benefit package .The comprehensive remuneration details, incl. benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
