Telework
This position is eligible for telework, which is currently one day per week. New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective date of hire.
Summary
The Senior Manager Quality is responsible for quality functions related to MTA C&D processes and departmental activities. The Senior Manager provides quality guidance utilizing functional, quality, and engineering best practices, analytics, reporting, and continuous improvement concepts and ensures timely actions to meet ISO 9001 registration requirements.
This role works with in-house C&D Department and Business Unit personnel in securing improvements and providing guidance and implementation strategies as needed while ensuring the quality of internal work, construction oversight, materials used, vendor services, and installation facilities.
Responsibilities
Manages activities to ensure timely awareness and accessibility of new and updated quality documentation throughout MTA C&D.
Supports the C&D Quality Management Audit Program, including identifying audit candidates based on trend analysis and C&D management feedback and requests.
Initiates and provides support for C&D-wide activities to address ISO 9001 registration requirements, i.e.:
- Customer satisfaction reviews.
- Continual improvement programs.
- Assurance of timely and complete contracts for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 registration activities.
- Coordination of data for the annual ISO 9001 Management Review.
Provide reports and updates on quality activities and status for presentation to Senior Management.
Works with C&D Business Unit personnel to identify and initiate improvements in C&D processes, requirements, and activities to ensure the successful execution of the MTA C&D Capital Program.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Transportation, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.
Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity and hands-on experience with Quality concepts and processes, including ISO 9001.
Must have focus and the ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
Must possess excellent team-building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).

Final salary is determined by experience, skill set, and alignment with compensation practices. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.
