About The OpportunityWonder runs Infinite Kitchen Centers (IKCs), the kitchens behind our multi-brand food delivery business, spanning Grubhub, Blue Apron, Tastemade, and Spyce. The software that runs those kitchens is a portfolio, not a single app: order display and prep sequencing on the line, kitchen order management, dispatch to drivers, third-party marketplace aggregation, recipe and BOM management, and menu/commercial tooling. You'll design across that portfolio, not inside one corner of it.
This is an operator-facing design role. Your users are line cooks, kitchen managers, and dispatch staff working under real time pressure in a physical space, not consumers browsing at their leisure. Every screen you ship either helps someone get food out the door correctly and on time, or it gets in their way.
A portfolio is required to be considered for this role. Your design portfolio should showcase your design process and demonstrate a range of fidelity levels from start to finish.
The Impact You Will Make- You will pivot across the product ops portfolio as strategic priorities evolve. At times, you will focus intensely on a single product to resolve complex workflow challenges; in other periods, you will navigate the intersections of various platforms, addressing critical handoffs between systems where operational friction most frequently occurs.
- Own the design of end-to-end user experiences that integrate user research, operator feedback, and performance data.
- Develop high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and comprehensive design artifacts that align with product requirements and ensure seamless developer handoff.
- Conduct usability testing to validate designs and incorporate feedback.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, analysts, engineers, and operational stakeholders to design features that drive top-line growth and improve key operational metrics.
- Partner with Product Managers to ensure operations-focused applications are optimized for speed and accuracy on the floor.
What You Bring to the Table- 5+ years of experience designing for operational, high-stakes, or B2B/internal tools, ideally in a physical-world context (logistics, retail ops, field service, restaurants, warehousing)
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and at times scrappy environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly and concisely
- Strong visual and typographic sensibility and the ability to tackle complex user flows and propose efficient solutions
- Proficiency in Figma and other supporting interaction design tools
- Comfort designing for constrained environments: shared devices, gloved hands, bad lighting, noisy kitchens, people who did not choose this software and have no patience for friction
- A track record of shipping, not just concepting. This role has real production surface area.
- Systems thinking. You should be able to hold the shape of a multi-product portfolio in your head and spot where inconsistency across tools is costing users time
- Strong collaboration instincts with engineering and product, since kitchen-floor constraints (hardware, network reliability, staff turnover) shape what's actually designable here
