Senior Manager, Portfolio Delivery & Strategy (Enterprise Platforms Technology)
What You’ll Do:Drive Portfolio Strategy: Lead the delivery of a highly complex portfolio for the EPTech Top of House by providing strategic direction to teams, peers, and direct reports. A key part of this will be to coordinate EPTech ETB creation and execution.
Drive Portfolio Automation: Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern technological tooling to automate routine portfolio processes, optimize reporting, and enhance data-driven decision-making across the delivery ecosystem.
Manage Roadmaps, Intake & Capacity: Define EPTech intake process and review and scope out intakes for clarity into the work. You will also handle the facilitation of tower level prioritization and capacity management.
Mitigate Technology Risk: Champion a risk-aware culture by proactively managing risks and impediments. You will ensure that security and compliance considerations are tightly integrated into the delivery lifecycle.
Establish Governance: Ensure robust portfolio governance and manage cross-workstream alignment through the facilitation of Dependencies and by leading Quarterly PI Planning readouts.
Align Execution with Intent: Leverage strong problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure all portfolio initiatives strictly align with overarching business intent by driving OKR Reviews (at the tower level and EPTech).
Act as a Thought Partner: Serve as a strategic and tactical thought partner to executive sponsors and cross-functional leaders to drive seamless, value-driven delivery across the organization.
Influence at Scale: Build strong relationships and leverage outstanding communication skills to inform, align, and influence senior stakeholders on portfolio health, capacity, technology risk posture, and prioritization tradeoffs.
Optimize Frameworks: Quickly implement clear Lean/Agile portfolio management frameworks to create structure, transparency, and visibility across complex, interdependent workstreams.

9+ years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project ManagementNew York, NY: $193,800 - $221,200 for Sr Manager, Project Management
Plano, TX: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management
Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management
San Francisco, CA: $193,800 - $221,200 for Sr Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
