Position SummaryReporting to the VP, Commercial Performance, the Sr. Manager, Planning & Performance is responsible for improving processes across the Commercial organization and enhancing communication, tracking, monitoring, and reporting for the Retail, Foodservice, Fresh Pork, Fresh Poultry, and Grocery Sales teams. The role is accountable for increasing visibility of key initiatives, driving transparency, and strengthening accountability across all Sales teams.
Key Accountabilities- Lead process improvements across the Commercial organization and ensure the consistent adoption of new standards and ways of working across Sales teams.
- Lead, develop, and coach the Sales Planning & Performance team to implement and monitor tools that support execution of strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Ensure the routine use, governance, and training of support tools developed by the Sales Planning team, including Promotional Request Forms (PRF), Listing/Delisting Forms, Field Sales Tablet tools, and related processes.
- Develop, standardize, and improve reporting so it is completed accurately, consistently, and in a timely and increasingly automated manner.
- Communicate execution results, business updates, and reporting insights through established forums, including the Commercial weekly report, Commercial Leadership Team meetings, Continuous Improvement meetings, and the Annual Conference.
- Establish strong visibility on key commercial initiatives to improve transparency, accountability, and follow-through across the Sales organization.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing & Insights, Supply Chain, Business Performance, Finance, and IT to improve planning processes, reporting accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
- Directly manage the full-time Graphic Designer supporting Commercial and Sales-related needs.
- Own the intake, prioritization, and scheduling of the creative work queue, ensuring projects are assessed based on urgency, strategic impact, business value, and available capacity.
- Balance short-term, ad hoc requests with longer-term planned deliverables to maintain responsiveness while protecting focus on priority initiatives.
Requirements- University Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a sales or marketing role
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- French written and oral communication skills considered an asset
Hiring Range: CAD $95,800 - $145,800
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up to 16.5% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions.
Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity.
