About the Role:You will be the subject matter expert for Personal Financial Planning (PFP) and the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential, overseeing the development of credentialing, technical content, expertise, and professional development. Collaborate with partners to promote the discipline, strengthen credential value, and help firms and professionals build capabilities that support growth into higher-value services. Help monitor the profession and discipline; respond to market demands to ensure AICPA members' interests are protected through advocacy, standard setting, and growth of the section and credential. You will report to the Director - Personal Financial Planning as an individual contributor. You will use a hybrid work schedule.
You Will:- Manage the division's committees responsible for standard setting, advocacy, technical guidance, and exam development for the PFP Section and PFS Credential.
- Oversee our strategic task forces based on the latest needs in the profession.
- Collaborate with global and domestic partners to implement our strategy. Manage the development of tactics, educational programs, and resources that ensure competency, relevance, and quality across the discipline and credential.
- Promote awareness of PFP as a specialized discipline to lead section and credential membership growth.
- Be a subject matter expert for the discipline and credential. This includes speaking to large groups, providing responses to member inquiries, media, technical and practice development questions, credential requirements, and regulatory issues.
- Be an AICPA ambassador to influence external accounting and PFP discipline groups and regulators, national / international industry associations and membership bodies. Enhance and strengthen the division's strategy in connection with external relationships.
- Monitor legislative, regulatory and industry landscape for news and developments affecting advocacy for members in PFP discipline
You Have:- 7+ years related experience
- Bachelor's degree
