Job Summary

Senior Manager, Operations directs the operations of multiple departments or production units within Southwire manufacturing at a level three site, ensuring consistent performance, efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Manages cross-functional teams of professional staff and subordinate managers to achieve operational and financial goals aligned with business strategy. Develops and executes methods, systems, and procedures that improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Provides expert leadership across multiple disciplines, balancing technical, business, and personnel priorities to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple operational teams or departments, overseeing production, logistics, or service delivery functions to ensure consistent achievement of performance and quality standards.
  • Directs work flow across complex or multi-disciplinary operations, allocating resources effectively and aligning departmental priorities with organizational objectives.
  • Implements operational strategies and process improvements that optimize production schedules, reduce waste, and enhance throughput in electrical manufacturing or field service environments.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, environmental standards, and workplace safety requirements to maintain legal and ethical operations.
  • Ensures quality by establishing performance metrics, reviewing data trends, and coordinating with quality assurance teams to drive adherence to customer specifications and technical standards.
  • Advises leadership on operational performance, resource utilization, and process innovation opportunities, contributing to strategic planning and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Coordinates processes and assignments with engineering, supply chain, and business development leaders to ensure alignment across projects, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Evaluates performance of subordinate managers and professional staff, providing feedback, guidance, and developmental opportunities to strengthen team capability and engagement.
  • Attracts and hires skilled personnel, building high-performing teams and cultivating a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Required Education & Experience

    Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

    Specialized Degree: Engineering, business, or other related field.

    Years of Experience: 5-7 Years

    Field of Expertise: Engineering, business, or other related field.

    Specialized Degree: Engineering, business, or other related field.
