SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Lean that will be responsible for creating a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement by developing and supporting effective execution of Flow Construction and Kaizen approaches across various business environments.

Accepted Locations: US requiring National Travel

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish company-wide standards for the Lean approach (Flow Construction or Kaizen)


  • Maintain consistency and effectiveness of the approach by assessing and improving


  • Develop and coach HQ Lean and Group resources to support and execute the approach effectively


  • Engage Group Leaders and other Group resources, personally and through direct reports, to plan and execute the Lean approach effectively


  • Support Groups to measure, capture, and sustain improvements, celebrate teams, and update baseline performance for future work expectations


  • Provide significant input to the annual business plan for the Lean approach, including enhancements and guidance on strategy for different levels of support and activity across Groups and projects


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or a related degree


OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and technical/field experience demonstrated over multiple years of related work experience


  • Minimum of fifteen years construction or manufacturing experience


  • Minimum of ten years experience in a continuous improvement or other operational functional role (e.g. Quality, Safety, Planning, Process Excellence)


  • Experience facilitating lean activities (Kaizen Events, Improvement Initiatives, Takt Planning)


  • Expert understanding of continuous improvement tools and practices (Kaizen, Lean, Takt Planning)


  • Humble learner with curiosity and optimism


  • Proactive self-starter with growth mindset


  • Excellent reliability and follow-through


  • Strong ability to coach and mentor leaders and professionals


  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the continental U.S.

The base pay range for this role is $144,900 MIN - $127,400 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations,: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
