Full Job Description
Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior HR Manager to champion our mission-driven workforce, elevate employee compliance, and architect human resource strategy across our growing organization. Serving as a vital strategic anchor, this leadership role aligns day-to-day HR excellence with the multi-state operational vision necessary to empower our frontline teams.

Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Administration & Employee Relations, you will design, implement, and lead comprehensive HR initiatives across all six New England states, Montana, and North Dakota. You will serve as a trusted advisor to both senior leadership and staff, striking a balance between complex multi-state labor standards and the core values of empathy, integrity, and shared purpose that define the Veterans Inc. mission.

This individual would be based at 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA, but will be required to travel throughout New England.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:
  • Comprehensive HR Program Oversight: Manage talent acquisition, onboarding, performance evaluations, employee benefits, leave administration, and recognition initiatives.
  • Employee Relations Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for receiving employee relations issues.
  • Policy Architecture: Author, update, and maintain the HR Employee Handbook and establish departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Compliance & Audit Ownership: Serve as the lead contact for HR audits and organizational accreditations to ensure total regulatory compliance.
  • Culture & Training Execution: Support the Director of Training with designing and coordinating all New Hire Orientations and company-wide All-Staff Meetings.
  • Special Projects Management: Execute high-impact HR strategic initiatives and other duties assigned by senior leadership.


WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a proven track record in strategic HR planning, talent management, and employee relations.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a dedicated HR supervisory or management role, directly leading and developing an HR team.
  • Active senior-level certification, such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources), is highly preferred upon hire or strictly required within six (6) months.
  • Advanced proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and data analytics tools, alongside advanced Microsoft Office skills for executive reporting.
  • Deep, up-to-date expertise in federal, state, and local labor laws, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
