Overview
Responsible for designing, creating, and maintain operational and organizational processes that enable and support our goal of transforming the Renewable Services industry. Ensure processes proactively support and enhance a strong organizational culture that focuses on exceptional standards in safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Travel: Fargo office or open to remote.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:- Partner with Renewable Services (RS) senior leadership team
- Serve as the RS internal change agent, championing MasTec Renewable Services' need for efficient organizational wide financial processes
- Lead the development of automated tools, online and mobile based applications, and tools to improve financial reporting within the project financial tracking tool and operational processes
- Identify areas throughout the business that require methods and processes development and assist stakeholders with documentation, creation, and completion
- Support business operations and stakeholders as need for all process related improvements
- Lead the improvement in the end of month Financial Reporting for the RS group
- Design and deliver a monthly financial reporting process that is simple and effective
- Demonstrate, where possible, the reduction of complexity and increases the ease of use and simplicity for business users
- Lead KPI development for all business-critical data and lead regular report out of KPIs with action items, due dates, and owners
- As required and directed by Vice President of Renewable Services, create new reporting processes that meet the needs of Mastec Renewable Services
- Oversee the completion of QA/QC and repair completion reports for customer submittal in a timely manner
- Support efforts to ensure proper documentation of repairs
- Develop a strong understanding of composite materials, composite repairs, and manufacturing process
- Ensure clear and compelling communications plan are implemented to support any methods and processes developed
- Ensure all processes are communicated with impact across the RS team and ensure the operations team is trained on processes and changes before official handoff of implementation
- Partner with field leadership proactively to ensure operational gaps in performance on existing work scopes are identified and develop corrective actions efficiently to resolve them
- Ensure methods, processes, and ways of working are properly implemented and utilized by the field teams.
- Ensure and hold field leadership accountable for each project to have a Lessons Learned review capturing essential learnings the lessons learned are proactively shared with the RS Development and field teams
- Partner with RS Development team and Operational Leadership during the bid stage to determine if MasTec Renewable Services has the appropriate documentation (Methods and Processes and/or Temporary Work Procedures (TWPs)) and/or "know how" for all work scopes
- Ensures field teams and Operations Support leaders create TWPs for work procedures as needed
- Conduct regular performance reviews with all direct reports delivering as required, proactive coaching, and direct constructive feedback to improve technical leadership and capabilities
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations, Finance or related field or seven years of related work experience, including financial reporting
- Experience in Renewable Energy
- Experience with all RS group's service offerings
- Experience with document control, quality, lean/six sigma, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal, managerial, and leadership skills
- Display and proactively encourage the delivery of results safely, with high levels of quality
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in fast paced environment
- Strong communication abilities when working with all levels of the organization
- Ability to continually strive for operational excellence and efficiencies
- Knowledge of all RS group's service offerings
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, if needed
Working Environment:- When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
