Description Job overview and responsibilitiesThis role will lead the modernization of United's Core MRO (Maintenace, Repair and Overhaul) technology system, This program will transform business processes across Tech Ops by replacing and modernizing our MRO system to successfully lead maintenance, engineering, and logistics needs and to assure compliance within a sophisticated system of aviation regulations.
- Lead a team responsible for delivering key milestones in the strategic plan, such as scoping, requirements gathering, design, impact analysis, business readiness, data preparedness, migration, and post-migration
- Lead and define the business case for requirement changes, and identify impacted changes within Tech Ops divisional areas
- Lead project management support to an assigned operating division team to ensure key deliverables are defined and socialize changes with larger peer Tech Ops divisional areas
- Championing the end-user change management plan, including scoping end-user impacts, contributing to the change management plan to gain end-user adoption, and following through to post-migration to evaluate business impacts
- Provide regular updates at key Technical Operations meetings regarding progress on key initiatives
NOTE: This position is considered as a hybrid role working 3 days in-office (Tue-Thu), however that may evolve with the needs of the company.
QualificationsWhat's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
- 7+ years of end-user experience with M&E / MRO Systems
- Exceptional organizational, presentation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to partner with leaders within the company to drive change
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and driving results
- Strong understanding of operations in one of the four operating divisions (Airport Operations, Flight Operations, Technical Operations, or Inflight)
- Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally 20-30% of the time
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
