What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Merchant Marketing leads the strategy and execution of brand and campaign initiatives for our Grocery & Pharma cards and loyalty partnership portfolio. In this role, you'll develop comprehensive annual marketing plans that translate business objectives into impactful campaigns and measurable outcomes. You'll own the end-to-end planning process-collaborating with partners and internal stakeholders to align on priorities, KPIs, and execution roadmaps. You'll drive the design and delivery of integrated campaigns across channels, manage critical partner relationships, and ensure shared accountability for results. Additionally, you'll provide strategic direction and oversight to the marketing team dedicated to these partnerships, setting priorities, enabling high-quality execution, and fostering team growth. Throughout, you'll monitor performance against targets, optimize campaigns in-market, and identify opportunities to deepen partnerships and drive sustained business growth.

  • Annual Planning: Build partner-specific annual marketing plans that align business objectives, client needs, and brand strategy.

  • Campaign Development: Lead the design and execution of integrated campaigns (digital, in-store, events, media) that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Partner Management: Act as the marketing lead with key partners, managing relationships, presenting plans and ensuring joint accountability.
  • People Management: Provide leadership to a team dedicated to the same partnerships by setting direction, prioritizing work, and ensuring high quality execution.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs (acquisition, engagement, spend, retention, redemption, etc.) optimize plans, and deliver results against targets.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams (brand, digital, product analytics, finance) and external agencies to deliver seamless execution.
  • Innovation: Identify new opportunities to deepen partnerships, test new marketing channels, and evolve the joint value proposition.

  • Bilingual in English and French with fluency in both spoken and written communication.
  • Experience working in Quebec market and understanding of Quebec consumer dynamics.
  • Background in financial services or consumer loyalty marketing.
  • Experience in digital-first campaign design, paid media and performance marketing.
  • Familiarity with loyalty program operations (offers, redemption, points conversion).
