Job Description:

The Senior Manager, MAKE Excellence JJOS Deployment, is responsible for the deployment and implementation of the Johnson & Johnson Operating System and leading Lean Six Sigma Capability Building and business improvement across Supply Chain organization.

Overall responsibilities will include the deployment of the JJOS Business Process Standards across all segments and franchises of MedTech and Innovative Medicines, from the request for support to the generation of sustainable value for the business, enabling this value generation (Cost, Cash & Service) will often require working in collaboration with PLAN, SOURCE, and DELIVER, as well as including the ability to integrate innovative new technologies to support development of supply chain capabilities.

JJOS MAKE Roadmap Development, Deployment & Execution

  • Lead JJOS interventions (diagnostics, workshops, kaizen events) to identify data-driven improvement opportunities aligned with priority business values

  • Lead JJOS delivery (Design, Plan and Execute phases) to ensure value generation and build capabilities of local teams who are learning by doing.

  • Follow-up on value generation and provide support to JJOS delivery roadmap execution.

  • Provide mentorship to site JJOS leads and plant managers to capture both operational and financial impact, across an internal and/or external manufacturing footprint.

  • Know the playbook in full, being able to select and apply the appropriate process (Diagnose, Confirm, Design, Plan, Implement, Sustain) and JJOS elements, practices, tools and standards; be able to guide others.

  • Ensure standardized process is adhered to and all key milestones are met at high quality.

  • Responsible for adopting and fostering adoption of the validated new tools made available.

  • Managing work streams - Progress and deliver intermediate and end-results:

  • Phase reports (e.g. diagnostics, design packs, TIPs etc.).

  • Supporting analysis and evidence.

  • Ensure overall quality standard – solutions are aspirational and technically correct.

  • Understand diagnostic results and the levers that will lead to enhanced performance.

  • Review TIPs and ensure milestones link to capturing full diagnosed value.

  • Ensure area and plant metrics will track and reinforce improvement.

  • Generate sustainable value: look for integration of proposed solutions into ongoing local programs.

  • Ensure a continuous improvement system is in place to apply standardized solutions.

Training, Capability Building & Coaching

  • Provide mentorship to site JJOS leads and plant managers to capture both operational and financial impact.

  • Ensure sites build capabilities for sustainable change. Develops the needed capabilities to implement and sustain the designed future state.

  • Get support from SC Excellence resources to contribute to capability building plans.

  • Deliver on-site and virtual basic and advanced Lean and Six Sigma training; maintain curriculum, materials and assessment criteria.

  • Coach and develop Black Belts and project leaders to execute Lean Six Sigma projects to certification standard. Evaluate participant progress and report outcomes to their managers monthly.

  • Make fact-based decisions that balance short- and long-term priorities, grounded in the Credo and the C.E.O. mindset.

  • Cultivate meaningful partnerships across business and functional stakeholders to influence at scale, lead through ambiguity, and drive transformation.

  • Support and/or lead actions to improve SCE services through digital and innovative solutions.

  • Minimum 8 years related experience in Supply Chain (Plan, Make, or Deliver) with cross-functional exposure. At least 7 years in a process improvement role, facilitating teams and running large-scale projects. Track record of delivering improvement projects at Black Belt level.

  • Technical & Methodology: Hands-on experience with JJOS delivery methodology, leading diagnostics and workstreams to produce targeted business value. Strong command of Lean and Six Sigma tools and structured problem-solving methods.

  • People & Coaching: Experience training, coaching and developing others (Black Belts/Green Belts). Demonstrated ability to influence and drive results without line authority.

  • Business & Financial Acumen: Ability to develop business cases, estimate financial impact and drive value realization tied to project deliverables.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent written and verbal communication; able to connect with stakeholders at all levels. Strong facilitation and workshop leadership skills.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
