Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled, strategic, and proactive Senior Manager to lead the Material Program Management (MPM) Supply Chain organization supporting Production Programs within the Missile Propulsion portfolio. This role is responsible for leading a team of managers, each of whom oversees a division of programs and their respective teams of Material Program Managers (MPMs).

This leader will provide strategic direction, organizational leadership, and execution oversight across multiple production program areas, ensuring alignment of material strategies with business objectives, program requirements, and operational priorities. The role requires a strong people leader with demonstrated success developing leaders, driving cross-functional execution, and representing Supply Chain/Material Management in support of production programs and business growth initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the SC/MM division as the senior leader responsible for a portfolio of programs, leading a team of MPM managers and Material Program Managers. Establish priorities across the portfolio, ensure execution to business and program objectives, and provide regular updates to the Director of SC/MM.
  • Lead the SC/MM functional organization by developing and implementing comprehensive material strategies, execution plans, and standard processes that ensure effective supply chain integration within overall program management plans.
  • Provide portfolio-level financial leadership for material sales and program execution by managing performance to Annual Operating Plans (AOP), driving achievement of revenue targets through proactive analysis and management of material-related risks and opportunities, and overseeing Estimate at Completion (EAC) accuracy for the portfolio. Ensure material forecasts, cost positions, and execution plans are aligned with program objectives, business commitments, and overall financial performance expectations.
  • Partner closely with Program Management to align supply chain objectives, material strategies, and execution priorities with overall program goals, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders on all supply chain-related program matters within the division, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication.
  • Provide financial oversight for supply chain activities including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and affordability initiatives to support program performance and profitability.
  • Represent Supply Chain/Procurement on Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to ensure material availability, sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and supply chain risks are fully incorporated into program decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with program management, engineering, operations, quality, planning, and other internal functions to resolve material issues, mitigate risks, and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Support business development efforts by providing SC/MM leadership for proposals, captures, and growth initiatives, including material strategy development, risk assessment, and execution planning.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related program management experience; or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related program management experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related program management experience.

Perferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership capability to manage managers, lead cross-functional teams, and drive execution across organizational boundaries within a complex program or portfolio environment. Requires the ability to influence decisions, align stakeholders, and deliver results across multiple functions.
  • Typically has mastery within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas.
  • Demonstrated experience leading in supply chain, material management, program support, operations, or a related business function.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience partnering with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Business Development.
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance through forecasting, risk and opportunity management, revenue execution, and EAC oversight.
