Job Description

This is a hands-on role for a strong writer, editor, and communicator who knows how to get things done. You'll lead MSL's social channels and digital platforms, manage our awards program from submission to celebration, and pitch our stories to the industry trades that shape our category. You'll partner closely with the EVP, Marketing & Communications, practice leaders, designers, producers, and external partners to elevate MSL's brand. The ideal candidate is a builder who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and bringing new ideas to the table. You have exceptional attention to detail, write with clarity and impact, edit with confidence, and have the judgment and taste to know what great looks like.

Responsibilities

Own MSL's social and digital presence. Manage our social channels and digital platforms, oversee the content calendar, edit and occasionally write copy, brief creative partners, and ensure content is on-brand and on schedule. Track performance and apply insights to continually improve our presence.

Lead MSL U.S.'s awards program. Manage the awards process from strategy through submission-writing and editing entries, coordinating creative assets, managing deadlines, tracking results, and identifying new opportunities. Partner closely with the EVP, account teams, writers, designers, and producers to showcase our best work.

Manage trade media and industry visibility. Support trade media strategy by pitching stories, responding to media opportunities, and developing compelling press materials. Stay on top of industry trends, media landscapes, and reporter interests to maximize visibility.

Write, edit, and elevate agency communications. Serve as a trusted writer and editor for internal and external communications, including executive messaging, LinkedIn content, website copy, announcements, and other thought leadership.

Support high-profile agency moments. Help bring MSL to life across industry events, internal initiatives, and cultural moments-from Cannes and award shows to employee engagement and agency activations.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and format for different audiences
  • Proven experience managing award show submissions
  • Established relationships across PR and advertising trade media preferred
  • Experience managing social media and digital channels for a brand or agency
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience managing a direct report or mentoring a junior team member
  • Confidence partnering with senior leaders and providing thoughtful strategic counsel
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity for how emerging technologies can enhance communications and marketing
  • You have a bias for action, commitment to quality and a sense of humor
