This individual will report in to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations.
The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations is a highly strategic role that:
- Owns and manages the operations of the marketing organization and its agency partners to drive consistency in planning and execution;
- Streamlines ways of working across the Marketing organization; and
- Supports key leadership initiatives.
This position is critical to ensuring the North American marketing organization and our agency ecosystem operates with agility and speed by: Establishing and optimizing both internal and agency ways of working; Defining key performance indicators, measurement criteria and team performance reporting; and Championing a team-first culture.
This role is responsible for Leading agency relationships, scoping, contracting and negotiating at a total brand portfolio level; Cultivating KDP portfolio internal and external creative agency relationships; and Optimizing content and production processes.
The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of: Progressive marketing and / or agency experience; Strong negotiation skills with a data-driven approach; and a Leadership style that fuses inspiration with a passion for making a difference.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Agency Relationship Management
- Leverage agency acumen to cultivate best-in-class agency partnerships.
- Serve as a key portfolio point of contact for creative, PR, media, technology, and consumer engagement agencies and vendors.
- Lead strategy for optimization of agency ecosystem, including leadership of key agency RFPs and agency transitions.
- Lead semi-annual agency performance reviews to collect and deliver agency performance feedback and obtain feedback on KDP's performance to optimize ways of working.
- Leverage influence to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners at executive levels
- Provide thought leadership on optimization of agency fee/production models to maximize value and transparency.
- Agency Scope Development, Fee Negotiations and Continuous Improvement
- In partnership with Brand, Omni, Media and PR teams, define brand-specific agency needs and deliverables to develop portfolio agency scopes.
- Utilize strong industry knowledge and business acumen to define agency deliverables, advise on staffing plans, track performance, and strategically drive efficiencies in fee negotiations.
- Leverage strong negotiation skills to lead selected agency negotiations and reduce financial risk for KDP
- Seek out ways to increase operating efficiencies through strong negotiations, streamlining processes, and elevating standards of success with effective MROI.
- Drive improvements in processes and strengthen return on investment through effective post-analysis of all initiatives
- Make strategic recommendations to senior management for how to invest money and maximize return
- Optimization of Agency Ways of Working & Comms Process
- Lead ongoing definition and refinement of comms processes and agency ways of working across the portfolio to identify efficiencies and optimizations.
- Lead initiatives with in-house and external agency partners to drive consistency in approach, reduce agency burn and/or improve quality of deliverables/outputs.
- Develop and maintain exceptional cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration and efficiency across functions.
- Measure Success - Track Agency Performance and Audit Utilization
- Optimize agency performance tracking and reporting process and communication cadence
- Lead agency resource utilization tracking, identifying risks and potential areas for efficiency capture and/or cost mitigation.
- Executive Influence
- Influence at executive levels internally and externally to drive strategic agenda and cross-functional alignment
- This role closely engages with executive levels in Brand Marketing, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Audit and external agency partners
- Must be able to influence through conflict, resolve issues, and push through strong negotiations to deliver return on investment for the company
- Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects Leadership
- Lead portfolio strategic initiatives and special projects as identified by leadership to achieve business objectives.

Total Rewards:- Salary Range: $130,700 - $179,000
- Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

- Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements:- A Bachelor's Degree and ideally in Marketing or Advertising
- A Masters in Business Administration is preferred, but not required
- A minimum of eight years of progressive marketing or advertising experience, including:
- Creative development and resource planning, either agency or client side
- Project Management in the marketing space
- Cross-functional and agency relationship management
- Proven track record of success leading multi-year, multi-million dollar negotiations, and ability to influence and gain alignment at executive levels.
- CPG/Beverage experience from a Fortune 500 CPG corporation a plus
- Strong financial acumen and ability to synthesize data, lead analysis, and deliver reporting with informed recommendations.
- This role is based in our Burlington, MA, HQ and would require up to 20% travel.
