You will
- Manage the process over the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated and unconsolidated financial statements in accordance with ASPE, IFRS and US GAAP including technical and financial analysis thereof, taking a role in both the preparation and review of such statements, with the discipline and rigour expected of a public company reporting cycle
- Support the close process at the real estate/property level to expedite reporting calendars while minimizing errors and late adjustments
- Lead, coach and develop a small team of financial reporting professionals
- Ensure rigorous reconciliation of intercompany balances across the organization's complex ownership structure, and oversee accurate capital stack reporting across debt, equity and profit-share positions
- Lead initiatives to standardize accounting policy and strengthen internal controls
- Roll up your sleeves to identify and drive significant process and system improvements - modernizing legacy reporting processes and tools, and building the infrastructure needed to support a growing, increasingly complex organization
- Act as a point of contact for financial reporting queries from internal and external partners and auditors

You have
- At least three (3) years' experience in financial reporting for a large, complex organization; public-company experience or equivalent complexity highly valued
- Strong understanding of ASPE and IFRS; REALpac experience an asset
- Experience leading or mentoring a team
- Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliation, and capital stack reporting (debt, equity, waterfalls) within a multi-entity or real estate ownership structure
- A track record of leading process and systems improvements, with comfort operating in an environment where current state isn't perfect and you're expected to help build what's next

Base salary range: $120,000 - 155,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications and will be commensurate with title of Manger or Senior Manager.
