What is the opportunity?

The Strategic Execution team within the Chief Legal and Administrative Office (CLAO) plays a critical role in driving highly visible, enterprise-level transformation initiatives providing thought leadership and collaborating with senior leaders to contribute to strategic objectives and the clear path to execution excellence. We are seeking a high-performing and motivated Senior Manager to join our team to lead the delivery of enterprise-wide strategic and regulatory initiatives. This role enables business-driven transformation by fostering effective project governance and driving the delivery of meaningful outcomes that align with RBC's long-term strategic objectives.

Please note, this is hybrid role. The expectation is that the incumbent will work a minimum of 4 days in the office.

What will you do?
  • Partner with business stakeholders to assess needs, identify optimization opportunities and execute on program deliverables, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and fostering collaboration across stakeholders
  • Lead and facilitate working groups with cross-functional teams to shape strategic direction, triage issues, and drive progress on enterprise-level initiatives, ensuring effective coordination and accountability
  • Contribute to senior management materials preparation, including Executive Steering Committees, and other program forums, ensuring clear, concise, and impactful communication of program updates, risks, and key decisions
  • Support program status reporting across the program and at the executive level to ensure program goals and objectives are executed and consistently communicated, enabling transparency and informed decision-making
  • Maintain project plans and ensure that tasks are on track to meet project milestones, identifying and resolving potential roadblocks proactively
  • Facilitate issue resolution and escalation, manage interdependencies, and ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of the RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log to support effective program delivery and governance
  • Engage with third-party suppliers/consultants as needed to deliver on program objectives, while ensuring alignment with internal delivery standards and governance frameworks
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the Strategic Execution team


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • Undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance or a related field required
  • MBA or relevant professional designation strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of project management experience with a demonstrated track record of leadership, problem-solving, and relationship management
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to collaborate, partner with senior business stakeholders, project managers and team members
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint (strong storyboarding of executive presentations)
  • Comfort with ambiguity

Nice to Have
  • Management Consulting experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
  • Regulatory programs and/or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) experience
